BENEFACTOR

CAMPAIGN 2018

IIDA Carolinas Chapter Benefactors and Industry Friends; Thank you for taking the time to consider renewing or becoming a 2018 Benefactor. Our Chapter spans two states and is comprised of seven city centers and four campus centers with over 600 members. In 2017 our Chapter held over 52 events across the Carolinas; keeping us constantly connected to one another face to face. Our events provide social, philanthropic, and educational opportunities, but most importantly they promote great design in the Carolinas by facilitating knowledge sharing, advocating for interior designers, and elevating the profession, none of which would be possible without your support. This past year our Chapter launched it’s first annual DesignWorks awards competition; previously this occurred bi-annually. Our membership met this opportunity with open arms by submitting over 88 projects into 10 award categories. We hope for a continued high submission rate and participation among the design community in the spring of 2018 when DesignWorks will be held at 21C in Durham, NC. DesignWorks and our Annual Meeting reflects the dedication to quality design throughout our Chapter and enables us to come together and celebrate individuals, projects, firms, dealerships, industry reps, educators, students, and all other contributors to our collective design community. In addition to our average of 20 CEU presentations every year, your contributions enable us to invest in our young professionals in a tremendously impactful way by providing the means to successfully sit for the NCIDQ exam. With your support, our Chapter offered a second free NCIDQ prep course to our members in the spring of 2017. Over three days, this provided members with over 20 hours of intensive training and preparation for the practicum portion of the exam, a valuable benefit. At 77%, our Chapter’s course attendees pass rate exceeded the national pass rate of 66%. This step, along with our continual involvement in four university campus centers and countless other interior design programs, sets the bar high for design standards across the Carolinas. We hope you’ll join the momentum and be a part of our IIDA Carolinas Chapter community where we can share our passion for great design, a strong community, and a high standard of education with you.

Respectfully Yours, Amanda Wade, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C IIDA Carolinas Chapter President 2017-19
