Quick Emergency Service for Residents of Northern Emirates National emergency medical response program launched for Northern Emirates for improving healthcare services. A comprehensive emergency unit has been launched in order to reduce the ambulatory time for citizens of remote areas. Keeping in mind the diverse population of UAE, the 8 main stations will contain 35 bilingual staff to take calls, which will ensure that customer service is provided in the most efficient manner. Furthermore, a team of 180 medics will work in 12 hour shifts daily. “Last year, His Highness received a phone call from a citizen complaining that ambulances take too long to arrive to remote areas of the country. His Highness instructed the relevant entities to minimize response time with every possible means, and approved the relevant budget. Less than a year later, there were 30 ambulance stations servicing most regions, along with two helicopters for emergency cases’’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said in earlier statement.
