LETTER
from
T H E FOU N DAT ION
Dear Sisters and Friends, Alpha Phi is known for leaving a mark on history. I am proud to say that as we approach our 150th anniversary, Alpha Phi is making history yet again. Since the start of Leading With Heart in 2015, more Alpha Phis than ever have benefited from leadership grants and received scholarships to help them advance and develop as women. With you, we have helped our sisters and others feel safer and more supported. With you, we have championed the Fraternity’s vision to evolve with our members and offer new and relevant leadership training and programming. With you, we are funding important, front of the line advances in women’s heart health year after year. With you, our donors, we have emerged stronger and more focused on our mission – advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy. As we prepare for the next 150 years, we are committed to investing in our members and impacting our communities. This is an exciting time to be an Alpha Phi as we conclude the remaining nine months of our largest philanthropic outreach to date, one that celebrates our past while ensuring our future: Leading With Heart. This campaign has and will continue to deepen our impact and strengthen the membership experience. With a focus on building our endowment, we will grow leadership, scholarship, and women’s heart health for generations to come. The stories that fill the Leading With Heart Donor Impact Report illustrate just how important your contributions are to the success of our sisters and a vibrant future for Alpha Phi. Donors have enhanced the membership experience by funding over 25 leadership development programs – impacting thousands of collegians and alumnae. Donors have funded scholarships and cardiac research, programs that impact more than Alpha Phis, but also the communities they belong to. Read along to learn more about how Alpha Phi Foundation has put your dollars to work, our plans for the remainder of the campaign, and a look towards the near future.
Your support makes our mission possible and advances women’s lives each day. On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for leading with heart. We look forward to seeing what 2022 has in store for us, our communities, and you. We are honored and grateful for your loyalty to Alpha Phi and for ensuring the future for generations of women.
Loyally,
Mary Beth Cooleen Tully (Epsilon Psi-Lehigh) Board Chair, Alpha Phi Foundation

“I have seen first-hand the benefit Alpha Phi Foundation has on our members - from attending leadership conferences or the Emerging Leaders Institute. I’ve worked with collegians who return from such experiences with a reinvigorated passion
for Alpha Phi and a desire to share all they learned with their chapter sisters. I’ve
received notes from collegians sharing how their leadership journey was positively
shaped by a Foundation-funded activity. I knew I wanted to extend my giving to support the work of the Foundation by including it in my estate planning.”

Clara Bradley Burdette Society The Clara Bradley Burdette Society recognizes loyal Alpha Phi Foundation donors with a planned gift. Clara was a philanthropist known for coining the phrase, “As long as memory remains to me, I will remember Alpha Phi.” It’s never too early to think about planning your future gift to Alpha Phi Foundation, allowing us to celebrate your gift as a part of the Leading With Heart campaign. To learn how your planned gift can leave a legacy, visit alphaphifoundation.planmylegacy.org or email plannedgiving@alphaphifoundation.org.
A complete list of donors may be found online at alphaphifoundation.org
