Sarah Hercules Position: President Year: Junior Major: Data Science Minor: Insurance I joined Alpha Lambda Delta in spring of 2015, and it has given me so many opportunities in just two years. My nana originally encouraged me to join because she was part of ALD while in college. Without further question I accepted my membership and applied to be on our executive board. I took my roommate along on this journey with me. We saw things that could be improved, and we wanted an opportunity to make a difference while improving our leadership skills. I was selected to serve as treasurer, and in October 2015 attended the annual conference in Orlando. Even today I use the things I learned during this conference. This year I had the opportunity to serve as president, which has been both challenging and rewarding. My favorite event this year was making fleece blankets for veterans. One goal I had for our organization was to improve the service component of our chapter, and events like the blankets help me to see the successes we have had throughout the year.

Taylor Watkins Positon: Vice President Year: Junior Major: Applied Health Science Career Goal: Pre-Occupatonal Therapy

I decided to join ALD-PES to become more involved on campus and to participate in more service/social events. I wanted to join the exec board to make ALD-PES more known on campus and to develop my leadership skills. My absolute favorite event this year was making tie blankets for homeless veterans!

Malika Day Position: Secretary Year: Junior Major: Biology Minor: Chemistry

I joined Alpha Lambda delta, because I believed their keys values of leadership, scholarship, and service coincided with what I believe is important in life. I also loved the idea of collaborating with others who shared common goals. In being the secretary for ALD, I hoped to motivate members to behold these values within them through becoming more involved on campus. My favorite event this school year would be passing out 'goodie bags' during finals week. Not only did it give students motivation to push forward and finish the year strong, but it was amazing to see that even a small gesture can turn an individuals mood around. I loved seeing ALD grow throughout the campus of BGSU this fiscal year!

Katlyn Westhoven Position: Historian year: Junior Major: Media Production Minor: Computer Science

I joined Alpha Lambda Delta, because I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to meet new people and obtain leadership positions. During my time being a part of this organization I have served as social chair and historian. I have enjoyed getting to know and work with such awesome people. being historian has helped to me further learn the best ways of communication with others and how to best use different social media platforms. I love being a part of such an amazing organization and feel as though as an executive board we work as a great team and have accomplished so much this past year!

Hervin Singh Position: Secretary Year: Sophomore Major: Finance and Insurance

I joined the exec board because I wanted to be part of an amazing organization that does 3 things that I really like; Leadership, Scholarship and Service. My favorite events of the year were socials in both semesters.

Position: Social Chair Year: Sophomore Major: Communication Sciences and Disorder Career Goal: Speech Language Pathologist

I joined Alpha Lambda Delta, because I saw it as an opportunity for networking with other students on campus, volunteering within the community, as well as applying the pillars of the organization, scholarship, leadership, and service, which hold significant value to me. I chose to be the social chair of the executive board because I had a vision for the organization and wanted to implement my ideas of inclusion and involvement of the organization's members on campus. A goal of mine was to make the organization more well-known on campus, and I believe that goal was accomplished this year. My favorite event from this past year was planning the last social for the organization. It was one of the biggest turn-outs of the whole year with all of the members enjoying pizza, talking about their experiences throughout the year, as well as having fun painting and planting flower pots. I love being a part of ALD, and look forward to my future involvement!

Megan French Position: Community Service Chair Year: Sophomore Major: Pre-Med Neuroscience Minor: Public Health

I joined Alpha Lambda Delta, because of the career building aspects and opportunities. My favorite part of the organization is the community service opportunities, which lead me to apply to be community service chair. My favorite thing we did this year was make blankets for veterans.
