Rock Band O.A.R. to perform 20th

Thursday, March promises to be a rockin’ night when band originally from Rockville, Maryland perform for an exclusive crowd at the W XYZ Lounge. After their formation in 1996 O.A.R., short for “Of a Revolution”, has released seven studio albums including “All Sides” in 2008 which included their biggest hit, “Shattered (Turn the Car Around)” which has reached Platinum certification in the USA. That’s over 1,000,000 single sales for the song. Even by today’s standards due to music piracy that is quite the accomplishment. The set on Thursday is exclusive to ticket holders who called in to radio station Mix 105.1 and won tickets. All four original members, Marc Roberge (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Richard Oh (lead guitar and backing vocals), Chris Culos (drums and percussion, and Benj Gerchman (bass guitar) are still in the band. Jerry DePizzo (saxophone, rhythm guitar, percussion, and backing vocals) joined the guys in 2000. Their eighth studio album is set to be released in May of this year with their newest single being released to iTunes on February 25, 2014. O.A.R. will perform an acoustic set at 7:00PM on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

O.A.R. Update 3/21 Many guests and employees raved about this concert saying the band was fantastic and the bar was packed. Bobbii Jacobs who is contracted with her colleague exclusively with Aloft hotels and Starwood to plan Live at Aloft events commented on the wonderful hotel and staff as well including Ricardo in Sales.

In-Room dining starts off strong and grows Just a few weeks ago we started offering In-Room Dining options for our guests based the overwhelming feedback since opening our doors in October. This feedback really comes as no surprise seeing as how most hotels either have a restaurant and/or room service option. Aloft as a brand, however, is a limited service brand that typically doesn’t offer such options as a standard. In-Room Dining is offered until 11PM each night. Thank you to the front desk talent for taking the orders and to the W XYZ talent for executing said orders in a timely manner. Great job team!

“Nice touch of Class and Comfort in Downtown Orlando” The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The entire hotel is clean and boasts an open floorplan. The bar and limited menu from the kitchen was perfect for an after work drink and light fare. We held a business meeting for 40 people comfortably in the meeting facilities. Nice room and the technology worked as planned! I truly enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend to others.

“It’s the staff that make this hotel so special!” The Aloft in downtown Orlando is a fine hotel. It's new, clean, trendy, and not particularly conveniently located if you're going to enjoy Disney World, the Convention Center, etc. On the other hand, if you want to be downtown, that's where you'll be. What makes this hotel so remarkable is the warmth and helpfulness of the staff. I've never been to a hotel where every employee I interacted with was not only efficient but terrifically welcoming. If you're a business traveler used to the isolation of the road, the staff make this hotel feel like a home away from home. With appreciation, I have special shout-outs for Kristin, Shakia, Casey, and all the other wonderful people of the Aloft!

“Week end.” I was at the loft last week end and had so much fun the friday night, lots of people, great crowd. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed comfortable, slept like a baby. I loved the modern style and the contemporary look of the hotel. I highly recommend if you go for a fun week end in Orlando.
