MOTIVATION LETTER 4 years ago, I was a locally member of SCORE, and I used to see SCORE International Team as a very far dream. Now, I can’t be happier to apply to be a SCORE Supervising Board member to give to my huge dark blue family all the time, love and knowledge that I have receive from you. My name is Allison Juarez, I am a sixth-year medical student from Lima, Peru. When I started the university, I knew that I have to go for more! We need to take part of the solutions of the issues that are around us, there are a lot of thing to do. I discover in research a way to help people that are not necessarily near or living now, research is giving a bit of knowledge for the world. Thankfully, research is very considered in my local committee, in my university curricula and in my country. When I started in IFMSA, I was looking for the best standing committee to fit in. Because of my research passion and my interest about intercultural learning, I felt in love of SCORE, so I decided to do an exchange to Mexico. The best decision of my life! After this exchange, my mind was open to a new way of see the life, IFMSA is a huge community, were you can find medical students with a lot of passion in the same fields like you but in the other side of the world. I felt that improve our exchanges, specially about academic quality is a work that we need to always follow. Also, giving to all the students the best experience in their life, that is the way how we influence and transforms lifes. SCORE is for me the best program to learn, practice and master your research skills, even if you are very prepared or you want to complement the curricula of your university, all of these in an intercultural experience, which is very important for all medical student. I was a Lore assistant, Lore, Nore assistant, and I am currently a Nore. All of this experience haven provided me invaluable knowledge and skills. As a Lore I learned leadership, team building and advocacy and as a Nore assistant, we got a GAP project; then as a Nore, I faced with more than 15 LCs, national projects, exchange issues, etc.; from all of these, I got experience and motivation to improve. When I was on the August Meeting on Tanzania, I was fascinating with all that we can do to improve our research exchange programs, and how local ideas could solve global problems. In addition, there I met admirable friends. But, SCORE gave me more than skills and friends, it gave me a FAMILY, in a national and international level. I am an outgoing, motivated, hardworker and organized person. I love everything about technology and manage data, that is why I always look for learning google tools and apps. Also, I really enjoy following an action plan, working with deadlines and working as a part of a team, in this case, an amazing team. So, because of my research background, technologic knowledge, time management, and all the experience earned thanks to SCORE, it will be an honor for me to be elected as a SB member and give to my blue family all its gave me. Even though I am not going to the MM18, I have done this candidature with all my love for SCORE, so I want to just say thank you for reading this letter, for letting me share my SCORE experience and for letting me express my happiness just applying. I hope you give me the chance to continue working for SCORE. đ&#x;˜Š Best regard,

ACTION PLAN TAKE PART OF SWG! How make very attractive projects? Some of our projects are never selected by anyone, but it is related to the project itself or the internship could be improved?
TRAINING TUTORS! We need to perform a strategy to keep tutors trained about how select incomings for their projects by using their project form and especially their student’s requirements section.
UPDATE OUR PROJECT FORMS Tutors are an important person in our exchanges, I propose to collect tutor’s feedback about our program. Communication with the tutor before the exchange is a way to keep incomings motivated and ready for the project, implement OLM or direct email communication in our project form is a goal to reach.
SOCIAL MEDIA FOR MARKETING It is important to keep Lores and Nores motivated to start initiatives like 8 weeks and GAP projects, by arranging a marketing strategy. I propose infographics to inform in a summarized way about project form filling, score initiates, approaching tutors, etc.
WEBINAR TO IMPROVE YOUR PROJECT FORM! SCORE webinars are amazing and have been helping to improve project forms, but it is time to up to the next step, I propose 1 webinar: Scientific report in SCORE exchanges, not just a poster!
