Paperwork
Caring for other people’s children is a big responsibility. There are various legal requirements that your childminding service had to meet before you were registered, and these must be maintained for the whole time you are running your service. These are set out in a piece of legislation called Scottish Statutory Instrument 2011 No. 210
It’s a good idea to have a copy of this. It can be downloaded from here.
Personal plans which set out how you will meet children’s health, welfare and safety needs are an example of a legal requirement you must maintain throughout your registration.
