Henry’s proposal was music to Kathleen’s ears. Literally. On Kathleen’s birthday, Henry, a singer in two chorale groups, said he’d written her a birthday song. “But it wasn’t a birthday song,” says Kathleen, who, after eight years of dating (they knew they would eventually get married but were in no rush), was taken completely by surprise. Only eight months later, on September 20, 2014, Henry and Kathleen exchanged vows in the Sailing Pavilion at the Wadawanuck Club in Stonington, Connecticut.
