TOWNIE FROZEN DESSERTS

3 editor’s pick

Few things taste better on a hot summer day than a dish of fruity sorbet. Hull residents Robin Flint and Stephen Gore are the owners of Townie Frozen Desserts, a business that specializes in making vegan, non-dairy, nut-free ice cremes, sorbets and flavored ices. But you don’t have to be vegan to enjoy them. Each flavor is made from scratch in small batches at a shared kitchen facility in Kingston called Peggy’s Kitchen. The couple work the South Shore farmers market circuit, scooping a wide assortment of refreshing sorbet flavors, such as strawberry, mango lime ginger and raspberry lime rickey. Their non-dairy ice cremes, made with a coconut base, taste silky and smooth. Try the German chocolate, Key-lime pie or Hawaiian Dream (if you like piña coladas). towniefrozendesserts.com AUGUST 2018
