Welcome to the

.

When I joined Allen Parks & Recreation back in March, I was thrilled to find a place that valued recreation and play as much as I do. My love for this industry has taken me around the world during the course of my career, from Indiana to Colorado to Auckland, New Zealand and most recently to Kate Meacham, Director PARKS & RECREATION the City of Southlake. I spent my first week in Allen marveling at my new City’s many impressive recreational opportunities. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. These months have been a roller coaster, to say the least! Luckily I found myself aboard this wild ride with a truly amazing team. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the residents of Allen can be incredibly proud to live and play in a City supported by so many innovative and compassionate parks and recreation professionals. Our team is doing everything in our power to bring back the programs and services you love while being constantly mindful of your safety. We thank you for your patience as we work through these new challenges and can’t wait to see your smiling faces again!

Letter from the Director
