This is an illustrative master plan of the infill housing design on a currently vacant 3.8 acre lot. The theme of this design is high density with low impact. The design takes advantage of existing conditions and also allows a large amount of people to live comfortably on a shared 3.8 acres.

10 SKYHAVEN RESIDENCE

Courtyard and Pathway Redesign

Glass gallery wall

Skyhaven is a home in Rome, Georgia designed by architect Joe Amisano. My job was to redesign the courtyard and the crumbling, unattractive brick pathway leading from the driveway up to the gallery space. As you can see in the image below, the trees and shrubs were overgrown and did not compliment the architecture. My design seeks to create an extension of the interior through the creation of a comfortable outdoor room that exhibits the home’s stunning modern architecture.

Crushed gravel

Small boulders

Lawn

Carpinus caroliniana Garage

White concrete

The above image shows the overgrown vegetation before the redesign.

This is a pen drawing of the Middle Oconee River floodplain in section. In this drawing I attempt to capture the character of the site and it’s variety of plant types though a cross section.
