ABOUT: Designed with the principles of natural architecture: balanced relationship with the place and tradition; frame construction in wood and renewable plant materials that come from a factory called wood where oxygen is produced and CO2 is absorbed rather than increased; the prefabrication in wood with numerical control machines guarantees precision, cleanliness, safety from an industrial product together with the personalization of the construction on site; plant materials, absence of glues and synthetic paints, low temperature heating, controlled mechanical ventilation guarantee total non-toxicity and constantly clean air; the construction and operation of the house does not produce pollutants because energy is produced by the sun. No use of petroleum products. CO2 = 0; fast because net of the bureaucratic process the house can be made available for use in a few weeks; economic because the cost of a natural house is equal to that of a conventional building of equal quality.

ABOUT : The space was designed entirely as a white, sober, clean place. White mosaic covers every corner of floors and walls. The only elements of color (ocher - gold) are the washbasin cabinet and the velvet curtain that hides the window to give privacy but also a scenographic tone to the environment.A minimal, simple and elegant line was sought. Sanitary ware, sink and shower communicate with each other and with the stainless steel of the legs of the washbasin cabinet, and the material of the Parentesi lamp by Achille Castiglioni, positioned in the corner.

ABOUT: almost nothing is the philosophy of this project: to dematerialize, remove, simplify, lighten. The existing buildings are emptied of all internal partitions, plant constraints and a large part of the external facing cement panels. The spaces thus freed are open inwards and outwards and can be constantly modified and updated with simplicity also through participation processes that involve employees. A flexible environment, full of light but also of silence and shadow where needed, which favors unexpected encounters, exchange of birth of ideas, creativity.The intention of the project is to build an organic continuity between architecture and nature. At one time this place as much of the region was covered with forests. Today a few square meters of forest are considered a relic to be protected. We have reached a tipping point for unsustainable land use. Awareness of the drama of the planetary environmental problem imposes the duty to restore biodiversity to a territory impoverished by destructive human activity where plant and animal life is increasingly residual with a dramatic species death. We therefore think of the open space project not as a design of a decorative park to embellish architecture but as a concrete injection of biodiversity capable of bringing life back where there is now concrete in a desirable construction of widespread ecological corridors.

ROLE : concept design, strategies / studies, graphics, masterplan, technical drawings, details, material choises. ABOUT: Redesign of the interior spaces of a purchased apartment shell, interior design and furnishing project for a functional and independent studio apartment. We designed the kitchen and bedroom furniture, inserting a raised area with retractable drawers in which to store essential items and linen, thus contributing to the efficiency of a very small house. The use of curtains separates the sleeping area from the living area as if it were a soft and always changeable wall. The interior of the house and the terrace communicate and correspond as if it were a single space, on an island where the external environment is very important.

ABOUT: A historic courtyard farmhouse, typical of the Bergamo areas, is renewed and transformed without distorting the original structure. With a few simple choices, the home environment is transformed into a sober, welcoming and elegant place: careful coordination of the colors of the walls with exhibition of artist photographs, use of decorative and waterproof wallpaper for the covering of the cooking area (also completely redesigned), dining table and day furniture designed by us and built by a local craftsman, choice of some objects of historical Italian and non-Italian design (Flos, Eames DWS Vitra, Perpetuo Danese, Alessi, Ittala, Stelton , Kartell).

ABOUT : Residual space of great scenic beauty, territory with qualities partially lost but not compromised, rural enclave within an intensely urbanized territory. In a 50s barn, prefabricated wooden modules are inserted as drawers inside the regular frame of the old barn open to the south to provide the farm’s 35 hectares with services such as the shop, the changing rooms, the rooms for the packaging of the products and for cold rooms. The new headquarters, consistent with the Cooperative’s philosophy, does not consume precious soil but enhances and restores life to what was once the stable and barn of the Pelesa farmhouse. Place to be preserved and re-naturalized, rural enclave in an intensely urbanized area. ABOUT: Essential volumes built dry in wood and steel come together as in a game of constructions replicating the shape of the organic growth of the dense city, a sort of crystalline secretion that settles on the roofs of a neighborhood in Gzira. The volumes aggregating and overlapping produce shadows, glimpses, views towards the sea, small silent patios. Building on the built is a practice that has always been present in the history of the growth of the city. Building on the built is commenting on the existing with a contemporary dialogue between new design and history. The built has always been recycled in different ways. Adding new architecture to existing buildings is a new model of urban growth that allows you to stop the consumption of land, favor the densification and optimization of existing services.

SISTEMI COSTRUTTIVI E MATERIALI ECONOMIA- sistema costruttivo per assemblaggio meccanico a secco di elementi prefabbricati in legno. No imprevisti, costi di trasporto inferiori, materiali più leggeri, non servono cave, né costi di bonifica, né impianti di depurazione. RINNOVABILITÀ- materiali vegetali quindi profondamente rinnovabili. Materia prima legno prodotta in una fabbrica che si chiama bosco dove si produce ossigeno e si assorbe CO2. CO2 per la costruzione = ZERO. SMONTABILITÀ- in caso di necessità la costruzione può essere decostruita parzialmente o totalmente per essere ridefinita per altre funzioni. RICICICLABILITÀ- a fine vita i materiali di risulta sono integralmente riutilizzabili o riciclabili SEMPLICITÀ- prefabbricazione avanzata in legno = precisione, pulizia, sicurezza, dignità e crescita professionale per gli operatori. SISMICA- costruzione in legno scientificamente riconosciuta a livello internazionale in zona sismica per elasticità e alta resistenza meccanica a parità di massa. SALUTE- materiali naturali, assenza di colle e vernici sintetiche=totale atossicità. storia (genius loci) L’organizzazione della città romana è un manifesto per il progetto contemporaneo. La maglia urbana è chiara ed esplicita: la piazza per l’incontro, la vita pubblica, il mercato, la via per spostarsi, il muro per separare e proteggere. Il costruito è intimamente connesso alla rete altrettanto sapiente e vitale degli appezzamenti agricoli, delle vie campestri, delle linee d’acqua, degli orti, dei filari in un unico organismo vivente che si regola secondo un principio metabolico non dissimile al metabolismo dei sistemi biologici in natura.

ABOUT : Volumes of different sizes gather around open spaces / squares with an inclusion / exclusion design that results from a sort of natural selection process. A design that enhances the backdrop of the natural landscape of the cultivated hill seen selectively and in parts, which restores balance and poetic value to the place with a texture that highlights a sequence of levels, places and different openings between the volumes, determining the variation of the glimpses and experiences of light during the day. A design that works for differences, enhancing existing buildings and their characteristics and not penalizing them as if they were foreigners. A vegetable school powered by the sun and the earth.

La scuola è facile da raggiungere a piedi, in bicicletta, con i mezzi pubblici e anche in auto. Via Kennedy è l’asse dei servizi che connette tutte le funzioni civiche, sociali e commerciali del paese; La sua sezione stradale va ripensata per rallentare il traffico automobilistico e favorire l’utilizzo del cammino e della bicicletta con un percorso protetto da una fascia verde. Il borgo scolastico diventa un altro centro per la comunità.

LA CASA DELL’ENERGIA è parzialmente trasparente e rende visibili e didascalici per ragazzi e adulti gli investimenti per l’autonomia energetica della scuola.

RESPIRARE IL BOSCO

Gli spazi verdi sono un vero e proprio vivaio cittadino, un bosco urbano, un orto botanico, il luogo di contatto tra cittadini e natura. Il verde non è solo svago ma luogo di esperienze didattiche di approfondimento culturale, laboratorio per riflettere su ecosistemi, cicli stagionali, vita animale ecc. e per difendere Bagnatica dal traffico veloce dell’autostrada dall’inquinamento degli arerei che la sorvolano.

FLESSIBILE

La scuola è composta da tre grandi volumi: il primo, quello centrale per le attività collettive, il secondo per le attività curricolari, il terzo per i laboratori e le attività speciali. Ogni volume è uno spazio aperto AMPLIABILE facilmente configurabile con I sistemi costruttivi prefabbricati a secco fuori un sistema di arredi mobili per opera favoriscono una facile e rapida ampliabilità e adattabilità a nuove esigenze didattiche consentire usi e attività diverse con facilità di trasformazione nel tempo con facile aggiornamento a esigendegli spazi interni. E’ possibile ze pedagogiche in divenire. Questo fa si che la sua produzione di CO2 sia molto vicina a ZERO. VEGETALE i materiali costruttivi e di finitura sono principalmente di origine vegetale questo significa che la scuola è profondamente rinnovabile. La produzione della materia prima legno avviene in una fabbrica che si chiama bosco dove insieme al legno si produce ossigeno.

ROLE : Collaborator , concept design, drawings, graphics, color matching, choice of materials, logo graphics of the school sections, interior design. ABOUT : The school is the radical rethinking of a building from the late â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;70s, regenerated with a new colored skin, a solar control system in galvanized steel and vertical sliding curtains and a new aluminum cover with an integrated photovoltaic system. The environmental control system is the new architecture of the school. The interiors, entirely redesigned, break the corridor-classroom system by introducing wider and more articulated common spaces to compose an internal landscape that responds to color and light codes that identify the different classrooms and common spaces.

ABOUT : In a park full of vegetation and crossed by a stream, the school stretches out horizontally on a slightly undulating lawn to be adventurous for children. The circular public square and the wooden entrance tower mark the civic space and lead to a large collective environment, covered square, double height. Around it the different functions are aggregated in distinct volumes defined by different coverings to form a small village: the classroom system, the kitchen, the space for teachers, the room for renewable energy technologies. From the distribution route to the north, the park is looked at through small projecting glazed volumes. The south-facing classrooms extend outdoors into large

ABOUT: At the northern edge of the city between the vegetable gardens, the forest and the stream, a composition of volumes of different sizes and colors takes shape, as in a game of wooden constructions. In their intersection, the volumes generate spaces of relationship, play, light, shadow, glimpses of mountains ... The bicycle storage in the square, the wooden civic tower that marks the entrance, the room that houses renewable energy technologies, the parallelepiped glass of the vestibule, the large space for educational activities facing south towards the porch and the garden, the space for motor activities and the kitchen, the long photovoltaic refuge and the undulating surfaces of the surrounding greenery, the dialogue in the definition of an unexpected landscape.

ABOUT : - Environmental load, energy consumption, emissions are close to zero. The transmittance and the phase shift of the casing optimize thermal comfort in winter and summer. The solar panels and the controlled mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery feed the radiant floor at low temperature. Natural ventilation and lighting, the reuse of rainwater and the total recycling of waste complete the environmental performance. - The school was designed with reference to the teachings of spontaneous local rural architecture, a perfect example of integration with the climate. The educational spaces, thanks to their southern orientation, enjoy sun and natural light continuously during the winter months. - The solar control system to the south consisting of a light porch with fixed horizontal sunbreaks and vertical roller blind with demotic control, ensures that the educational spaces are constantly shaded in summer. - The prefabricated construction techniques in wood and the thick plant materials for the insulation and minerals for the coatings give a guarantee of renewability and low energy consumption throughout the life cycle. The casing is lined on the inside with fireproof fiber plaster and on the outside by a ventilated facade partly in heat-treated wooden slats and partially colored fiber-cement, materials with great durability and ease of maintenance. The transparent surfaces have wooden frames and double low emission glass (U = 1.1). The furnishings are made of FSC birch plywood specially designed for the school and have a vegetable varnish. The floors are linoleum. The green roof and the landscape project contribute to improving the schoolâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s microclimate and its integration into the landscape.

ABOUT : The project concerns the first phase of the construction of the expansion of the municipal primary school of the ContĂ in Pieve di Soligo. The definitive project of the first phase involves the construction of 10 new classrooms in a new body totally independent from the existing two-storey building located in the southwest part of the area. The general project includes, in addition to the construction of new classrooms, the intervention of arrangement of the parking areas and fencing of the school, a gym, a canteen for teaching activities and the distribution and functional reorganization of the existing elementary school. The functional diagram is very simple: the north distribution acts as a buffer space that protects from the cold of winter and serves the classes facing south. In the corridor, the raised floor and the false ceiling house the systems and guarantee complete inspection. A full-height equipped wall contains individual hangers and lockers for each student. The simple design ensures low construction costs and flexibility of management and maintenance over time.The construction techniques use systems based on the use of renewable and low-energy materials during their entire life cycle. For this reason, the project uses dry wood construction systems integrated with the use of other plant materials for insulation and minerals for coatings. The entire internal casing of the buildings is covered with fireproof and fire resistant plasterboard. Particular attention, given the particularity of the user, is dedicated to the selection of materials based on their toxicological characteristics. The selection favors natural materials excluding all materials potentially capable of producing indoor pollution problems. The roofs are horizontal flat made with extensive green roof, a technique that requires vegetation to take on a technical function with economic and environmental advantages before an aesthetic function.
