HELLO. MY NAME IS ALISON BAUER. I AM A MARKETING GRADUATE FROM SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY. THROUGHTOUT MY FOUR YEARS, I HAVE WORKED ON VARIOUS PROJECTS FROM EVENT PLANNING TO ADVERTISEMENTS. EXAMPLES OF MY PIECES ARE INCLUDED IN THE FOLLOWING PAGES.

Prague, Czech Republic

Jess Thornton Director of Programs Global Players Atlanta Student Athlete Exchange Jthornton@Playtheglobe.org www.Playtheglobe.org

IT IS WITH GREAT HONOR THAT I RECOMMEND ALISON BAUER. I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF MEETING ALISON THIS SUMMER WHEN SHE PARTICIPATED IN GLOBAL PLAYERS, STUDY AND INTERN ABROAD PROGRAM FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES. AS DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS, I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR RECRUITING AMBITIOUS, ENTHUSIASTIC, AND COMMITTED YOUNG ADULTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSITIONING THEM INTO GLOBAL LEADERS. THROUGH ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE, ACADEMIC COURSEWORK AND GLOBAL WORK EXPERIENCE, ALISON PROVED TO NOT ONLY MEET, BUT EXCEED OUR EXPECTATIONS DURING HER EIGHT-WEEK PROGRAM IN EUROPE. IN ADDITION TO THE DEMANDS OF COMPETING, COACHING AND TRAVELING, ALISON ALSO HAD TO PUT HER BEST FOOT FORWARD ON THE JOB, AS A GLOBAL MARKETING INTERN WITH REPUTABLE EUROPEAN RESTAURANT GROUP, PIVORAMA. IT WAS IMMEDIATELY APPARENT THAT ALISON HAS A SHARP BUSINESS SENSE AND LEADERSHIP QUALITY THAT SETS HER APART FROM HER PEERS. WHILE THE UNFAMILIAR CULTURE AND LANGUAGE BARRIER MAY INTIMIDATE MANY FOREIGN STUDENTS, ALISON EMBRACED IT AND WAS ABLE TO LEARN AND APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE SHE GAINED TO TRULY AFFECT THE LIVES OF OTHERS. HER COMPETITIVE EDGE AND STRONG WORK ETHIC COUPLED WITH HER NOW GLOBAL EXPERIENCE MAKE HER A YOUNG AMBASSADOR FOR HER COUNTRY AND UNDOUBTEDLY A FUTURE SUCCESS STORY. ALISON HAS AMBITION, DRIVE AND THE ABILITY TO ESTABLISH HERSELF AS A LEADER IN NEW AND DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS. JUST AS SHE HAS DONE AS A GLOBAL PLAYERS PARTICIPANT, I TRUST THAT ALISON WILL NOT ONLY MAKE A CONTRIBUTION TO HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS BUT DISTINGUISH HERSELF WHILE DOING SO.

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING ALISON DURING HER SENIOR YEAR AT SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY. SHE PROVED HERSELF TO BE A VERY WELL-PREPARED, ENGAGING STUDENT WITH A KEEN TALENT FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN. EACH ASSIGNMENT SHE SUBMITTED WAS DONE TO PERFECTION WITH CREATIVITY, ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF PURPOSE. AS A PROFESSIONAL, I KNOW THAT ALISON’S SKILLS WILL TRANSITION WELL FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE WORKPLACE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER FOR A POSITION.
