Introduction to Risk Management in the Volunteer Sector

Learn how to identify and react successfully to challenging behaviours and situations in this valuable interactive workshop. You will examine the role of self awareness, self control and communication in responding to potential challenging situations of conflict and identify strategies to deal with these in a volunteer and staff role. Sometimes, safety can be threatened and so policy and practices need to be in place as well as training. You will discuss and practise conflict resolution skills in a safe environment. In this ‘interactive’ work shop learn how to identify and prioritise potential risks and develop risk management strategies in your organisation for your staff, events and administration. Learn how to make plans for a safer workplace for staff and volunteers. You will also find ways to identify and evaluate risks and learn to analyse and report on risks. This workshop looks at important methods, tools and techniques for increased safety in your organisation.
