POSITION TITLE: Fundraising Database Coordinator WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time Mon.-Fri. (non-exempt) SUPERVISOR: Director, Development/Communications SALARY: Commensurate with experience Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced working knowledge of Blackbaud The Raiser’s Edge for Windows or three years experience in an advanced donor database system such as Donor Perfect or Donor Quest. Must possess knowledge of fundraising principles and practices and maintain a professional demeanor. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical and planning skills. Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands. Strong self motivation and the ability to work as a team member. Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in managing donor records. Must be able to work in an environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums. Position Purpose: Utilize multiple data sources for primary responsibilities which include but are not limited to overseeing the daily operation of The Raiser’s Edge database, which tracks gifts and biographical information on donors, volunteers, guild and board members. Responsible for insuring the accuracy and integrity of the data, including daily input and output, technology management, and development support. Ability to take direction and implement database policies and procedures for proper record keeping. Provide staff and board support by assisting with creation of reports, mailings lists, and prospect research through various sources. Works diligently to ensure the needs of the organization are met and the donor’s intentions are respected. Provides administrative support to the Development Office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform and manage the daily operation of organizations donor database (The Raiser’s Edge), which tracks gift/financial and biographical information from multiple sources. • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data, including input and output, daily, weekly and monthly gift batching for both Poverello House and Naomi’s House. • Maintain efficient systems for data cleansing, data entry, gift processing, prospect research and relationship management. • Inputs information from multiple sources into database regarding all donations, constituent demographics and fundraising activities; • Review obituaries daily from print and web-based sources, process appropriate deceased information in constituent’s record through The Raiser’s Edge. • Works with members of the staff to resolve accounting issues and perform necessary adjustments within The Raiser’s Edge database, incorrect record input, account coding. • Contact preparers of source documents via online or telephone to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or obtain missing data. • File source documents as received and respond to inquiries as needed.

Generate all acknowledgement letters daily, weekly, prepare bi-monthly bulk mail; process mail accordingly to bulk mail standards and deliver to U.S. Post Office Bulk Mail Department. Answer fund development calls and process messages to ensure correct and timely response to community supporters/and or constituents. Generate monthly newsletter mailing count and email mailing list to printer/mail house. Review Donor Database materials and Blackbaud Knowledge Base website for clarification and best practices. Attend Raiser’s Edge trainings as directed by Director, Development or Executive Director. Some travel may be necessary to insure adequate knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge donor database. Perform other duties as assigned.
