YIS Copier / Printer Install Guide Step 1 Visit the following link to download the driver:
http://bit.ly/yisprint Step 2 Once the file has finished downloading, you should see it in your Downloads folder. (1) Doubleclick on it, then (2) Doubleclick on the installer that appears.
Step 3 Complete the installation process by clicking Continue, Next, or Agree when prompted. If you are asked for your password, enter your computer’s password.
Step 4 When the installer has finished, click the Apple menu and choose “System Preferences...” Then click “Print & Scan”.
Step 5 (Returning Staff Only) If you attended YIS during the 20122013 school year, you may see drivers called “Color Secure Release” or “B&W Secure Release”. Since these can no longer be used, it’s important to remove them from your list. First, if the lock in the lowerleft corner looks like the image below, click on it then enter your computer’s password. Next, click on the “Color Secure Release” printer, then press the “minus” sign, as shown. Repeat this process to remove the “B&W Secure Release” printer.
Step 6 Click the + button.
You MIGHT see this popup. If you do, choose “Add Printer or Scanner...” from the menu. Otherwise, continue to step 7.
Step 7 In the window that appears, click on the “IP” button.
Step 8 Enter the following information, as shown in the screenshot. Then click the “Use” popup and click “Select Printer Software...” Address: Queue: Name:

Step 9 Type the following into the search box: A C4475 H2 Then click on “FX ApeosPortIV C4475 v3018.103 PS H2” and press OK
Step 10 Press “Add”
Step 11 When the following settings appear, choose “Display User ID Prompt Only” from the indicated popup menu, then press OK.
Step 12 Choose A4 from the popup menu. You may now close this window
Step 13 At the bottom of your screen, click the “Finder” icon.
Step 14 Click on your Applications folder, and doubleclick on TextEdit to open it. You may use any file for the following steps, or a blank file.
Step 15 At the top of the screen, click the “File” menu, then click “Print...”
Step 16 If your screen looks like this, press “Show Details”.
Step 17 Choose “Job Accounting” from the popup shown below, then click the “User Details Setup...” button.
Step 18 Option 1 Verify that the User ID box contains your User ID, as shown on your Login Details sheet. (You do NOT need to enter your password.) Your User ID is typically the first part of your school email address. For example, if your email address was firstname.lastname@example.org, your user ID would be: smithj If the user ID in this box is IDENTICAL to the one on your Login Details sheet, press OK. You may skip Step 18 Option 2 on the next page.
If your User ID is DIFFERENT from your Login Details sheet, please see Step 18 Option 2 on the next page.
Step 18 Option 2 If your User ID is different from what is shown in the gray box, make sure “Always Use Default User Details” is selected, click the “Specify Job Owner Name” popup and choose “Enter Owner Name”. Then enter your User ID in the box below. You do NOT need to enter your password. Finally, press OK.
Step 19 Click the popup menu indicated below.
From the menu, choose “Image Options”.
Step 20 Click the “Color” popup menu.
From the menu, choose “Black & White”.
Step 21 Click the Presets popup menu, then choose “Save Current Settings as Preset...”.
Step 22 Enter a preset name such as “YIS Secure Release” then press OK.
You must save this preset as your default. Please read carefully for how to do this! Step 23 Hold down the “option” key on your keyboard. Keep holding it down, and read the next step, below.
While still holding Option, press the Print button.
