We will start the welcoming of the tournament at 10.00 and the first games in Group 3 will start at 10.10. All teams choose
whether they want to be on spot at the welcoming
or when their first game begins. Since the schedule is
very tight, it is extremely important that all the teams follow
the time precisely during the day. If a team does not show
up at the match time, the other team will win directly with 3-0 ”Walk Over”.

SASSE World Cup - Rules (Translated from the Swedish version) In accordance with the rules for Swedish amateur football with seven people on the pitch 2014 Match length 2x10min, 2 minutes break

Distances The distance from the ball to the wall is 7 meters when free kicks are signaled by the referee. The distance is also the same for penalty kicks and goalkeepers ball. When penalty kicks are given, the ball should be placed on the penalty spot and the goalkeeper has to remain on the goal line until the ball has been kicked. A player receives a warning if he/she violates these rules. Sabotage from the opposing team during free kicks also renders in a yellow card.

Slowdown Players that on purpose prolong the game should be booked by the referee.

Goalkeepers kick-out When the ball has passed the byline, the goalkeeper (or another player in the team) has to kick out the ball when it lies still on the ground. The ball should be placed 3 meters from the goal line, and it has to be kicked out, it cannot be thrown out. If the goalie catches the ball in action (not when a player from the same team instinctively passes the ball to the goalie), he/she is allowed to start the game as he/she wishes.

Play back to the goalkeeper If a player from the same team as the goalkeeper on purpose passes the goalie with his/her feet, and the goalie picks up the ball with his/her hands, the referee should then blow for indirect free kick from the penalty area line.

Throw in Indirect free kicks are used instead for throw ins, and are given from the sideline. The indirect free kick can’t go directly in the goal, it has to touch a player before it does so. The defending team needs to keep distance 7 meters from the ball.

Offside No offside.

Hands The following situations should result in free kick, or penalty kick when a ball hits the hand: • On purpose (when the player stops the ball on purpose) • Guarding hands (when a player instinctively moves his/her hands to protect himself/ herself • When a player has his/her arm in an artificial position. The referee should not blow for free kick or penalty kick if the player has his/her arms close to his/her body, or in a natural angle.

! ! Substitutions Flying substitutions are used which means each team can swap and change players as many times as possible. Remember that the maximum amount of players on the pitch is 7, (including the goal keeper) which means that a player must exit the field before another player can enter.

!

Referee whistle Always listen to what the referee has decided, even though you might think he/she is wrong. The referees are unbiased and just want to do their best.

Advancing from group stage to knockout phase In the SASSE World Cup 2014 edition, 13 teams have submitted their squads and we will henceforth divide the teams into 3 different groups. 2 groups consist of 4 teams, and 1 group consists of 5 teams. All of the group winners advance to the semi final phase, and the last remaining spot is reserved for the best runner-up among the 3 groups. Since one group consists of 5 teams, we will take away all the points and the goals scored and conceded that the team has received from the team that finishes last in that group. The comparison between all of the group runner ups is based upon, ranged in order of importance: 1. points 2. goal difference 3. highest amount of scored goals 4. If it still isn’t settled, and it is a tie between a group runner-up from A/B and a group runner-up C, the group runner-up C advances (due to more matches played) 5. If it still isn’t settled, and it is a tie between a group runner-up from A and a group runnerup B, we toss a coin to see who advances.

!

Knockout phase The match length is 2x10min, and if the match is not settled after full time, penalty kicks will settle the match. The best result after 5 penalty kicks will proceed, and if it still is not settled and additional penalty kick is given to each team until 1 team proceeds.

The Location Map with all the fields

! ! ! ! ! ! How to get to the location The location is called Gärdets Sportfält. The easiest way to get there is to take the Red Line Subway towards Ropsten, and go off at Gärdet, or to take bus 76 towards Norra Hammarbyhamnen and stop at Lindarängsvägen. If you take the subway, prepare yourself for a 5 minutes long walk.

Bring lunch or buy at the grill Fill your own basket with food, or enjoy a homemade Hamburger from Gärdet’s Hamburger Grill, only a few meters from the fields. The grill is open for us to buy food and drinks all day long. Those who buy from the Grill also have free entrance to borrow their toilet. And guys, do not forget to bring a lot of water to drink during the games!

Bathroom The closest toilet is at the Hamburger Grill.

Footballs We have five footballs in total, and three of them are needed during the competition. That means there are only two footballs to borrow if you want to warm up before the matchers or play just for fun in the breaks. Therefore, we really recommend you to bring own footballs, to ensure that you can practice and shoot some penalties in the meantime.

Contact If you have any questions during the day, turn to us. If we are not around, turn to the secretariat or one of the functionaries.
