PatzĂşn is a municipality of Chimaltenango called also Land of sunflowers, with many customs and traditions, with hard-working people who fight every day to give the best to their children and their whole family.
The catholic church is a church very visited by the people of the town and also many tourists who arrive every day to PatzĂşn to enjoy the diverse activities that are realized, like the employer's fair, and Corpus Cristy.
The day of Corpus Cristy many visitors arrive who enjoy the dishes that are served here as the typical foods and all the carpets that are made with different drawings and several colors that adorn all the streets.
On September 15 there are parades with school bands from each public and private establishment and also an activity that is carried out year after year and is the independence race where more than 1,000 people run.
The typical costume is made up of several colored canvases with a red background that signifies blood and embroidered with different colors such as the nahuales around the gĂźipil, a black cut and a belt of various colors.
