Geography / Habitat: Found in the Indo-West Pacific ocean, from East Africa to Japan and New Guinea. Habitat: Reef, in the wild. Non-migratory. Depth ranges from surface to 30 meters.

Life Strategy: Adults often are found in pairs, within caves; juveniles in shallow water with dead coral substrates, or filamentous algae, on which they can feed.

Food / Feed Strategy: Feed on sponges, tunicates, and in the aquarium on algae, coral, and occasionally other fish.

Food / Feed Strategy: Consume plankton, as well as small fishes, crustaceans, and squid.

Food / Feed Strategy: Consumes crustaceans and fishes.
