THE CREATORS ITC American Typewriter was created by typographers Joel Kaden and Tony Stan for the type foundry International Typeface Corporation. Tony Stan was born 1917 and died 1988. He created the following fonts: ITC American Typewriter, ITC Garamond, ITC Cheltenham, ITC Century and ITC Berkely Old Style. Joel Kaden was an American designer and worked with Herb Lubalin and ITC. The International Typeface Corporation was a type manufacturer founded in New York in 1970 by Aaron Burns, Herb Lubalin, and Edward Rondthaler.
