We are honored to welcome Capri Maddox to WomenSpeak 2026 — a nationally recognized civil rights Leader whose life's work embodies our values of hospitality, justice, and accompaniment.

Keynote Speaker

Capri Maddox Founding Executive Director City of Los Angeles Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department Appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti in 2020 as the Founding Executive Director of LA Civil Rights, Capri Maddox leads the City of Los Angeles in addressing systemic racism and bias across commerce, education, employment, and housing — in partnership with the Commissions on Civil Rights, the Status of Women, Reparations, and Human Relations.

A veteran public servant, she has previously served as Senior Advisor to the LA City Attorney, President of the Board of Public Works, and Executive Director of Partnerships at LAUSD — where she helped secure over $43 million in resources for students in need. She holds a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.
