Part 7 - Saved For Ephesians 3:1-13 John LeVahn March 27, 2011 Often times we talk about what we have been saved from, Paul talks about what we have been saved for. 1. God saves ______________________________________

“For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles. Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.” Ephesians 3:1-3

2. God saves ______________________________________

“I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power. Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given to me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” Ephesians 3:7 3. God saves ______________________________________

“His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Ephesians 3:10-12

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

for every Christian

Starting April 1st, 6:30 PM Prayer Watch International introduces an important course: Spiritual Warfare For Every Christian Three consecutive weekends: •Friday April 1st (6:30 pm-9:00 pm), Saturday April 2nd (9:00 am-12:00 pm) •Friday April 8th (6:30 pm-9:00 pm), Saturday April 9th (9:00 am-12:00 pm) •Friday April 15th (6:30 pm-9:00 pm), Saturday April 16th (9:00 am-12:00 pm) “Spiritual warfare is an often misunderstood subject”, said Pastor Karl Kruse of Prayer Watch International. “The concept of humans doing battle with the forces of darkness can conjure up bizarre mental images of exorcisms and demon possession, popular subjects in today’s horror movie genre. Spiritual warfare isn’t just about casting out demons; it’s allowing God the Holy Spirit to control and direct our thinking, our attitudes and our daily lives.” Kruse said the topic is more about accepting the Bible’s authority in all areas of our faith and life. “Using applicable scripture verses and plain English, this course lays out a plan for establishing a life-style of gentle but absolute contrast to the spirit of this age.” Cost for the course: $25 for individuals, $40 for married couples, Pastors are in for free. (Study Guides are also available for purchase.) The course will meet in the Ministry Center at Alexandria Covenant Church. Sign up at the Welcome Center or call the church office to register, 320-763-5659. (For more information call 952.484.8694 or email Pastor Kruse at PWIKARL@AOL.COM

Praise Report PRAISE TO THE LORD! After three months of aggressive chemotherapy, Darlene Steiger, received results last week that her cancer is in remission. Thanks to the Lord for His protection during the treatments. Darlene would like to thank the church family for prayers, flowers, books, cards, meals, hats, etc. The love and care given was a wonderful example of what God can do. Please pray that future monitoring will produce the same results.
