Operation Christmas Child Itâ€™s that time of year when you can bless a child in need by packing an empty shoe box with toys and gifts. The labels that you will need for the box can be picked up at the display table or the Welcome Center located near the entry doors on the south side of the church. Once your shoebox is filled and ready to ship, you can leave it at the display table. The deadline for dropping off boxes at the church is November 16th at 4:00 pm. Coat Drive for the Hmong Community
Please help elementary students in need within the Hmong Community of Minneapolis. A lot of them haven’t enough winter clothes to even stay warm, but you can help show Jesus’ love by giving them your gently used coats, boots, sweatshirts, or anything warm. You can put your gifts in the box located at the youth kiosk. The junior high students will be presenting the gifts for the children and helping with their after school program on November 12th after school lets out. Afterwards the youth will get some food at the mall and maybe play some mall games.
Diaper Drive October 24th, 11:00 am
Yes, you’ve read correctly! A diaper drive. Have you ever wondered how much it costs a family to purchase diapers for one child for one year? $1000! Alexandria native, Kristen Wiener Grode is heading up a diaper drive and will be hosting a Rock-a-thon for babies at the Viking Plaza Mall to create awareness and collect diapers for the Alexandria Area. You can help by donating diapers that day or making a monetary donation. Bring your kids and grandkids and enjoy the many fun children’s events going on.
Friendly Costume Party October 31st, 5:30-7:00 pm
Kids! You and your parents are invited! Invite a friend! Candy and prize (donations) are needed. Items may be placed in the box located in the Commons area.
