Outdoor Adventure and Recreation (OAR) is an outdo« discipleship program that runs for 8 weeks through the summer. Our aim is to graduate students with new skills and abilities for when they eo home, to school, or working in the mission field, they will be equipped with the necessary tools to impact the outdoor industry for Christ. Through all of this, we'll seek out The Creator amidst all of His beauty. The first 4 weeks we spend in Montana will focus on our Spiritual, and Outdoor training, while the last 4 weeks will be spent on outreach somewhere in North America and hopefully participating in a NIKO program. The leadership Team is excited to welcome our new Youth Pastor, Pastor Brian Farka and his wife Joyce who will be joining our staff beginning June 1st. On Saturday evening June 16th at 5:30 pm we are planning to welcome Brian and Joyce Farka to our church family through an evening of food and fun. Ministry Teams along w ith the Finance Team and leadership Team have been busy preparing the budgets for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2012. The leadership Team has reviewed the initial budget proposals at the May lT meeting and will have a final budget proposal for the Congregational meeting on June 26th. This meeting will also include the election of two new members to our leadership Team. A point of information in regards to church finances which is important for you to be aware of at this time is that ou r weekly offe rings through the end of April are running $35,711.13 below budget. Our year to date budget through April is $998,460.00 and our weekly givi ng through April is $962,748.87. We have been able to manage our year to date expenses, but we have some cash flow concerns due to offerings being well below budget.

FLIP OVER TO

As we look to the end of this fiscal year on June 30th and into the new fiscal year which begins on July 1st; we are encouraging greater participation in giving by members and regular attendees of Alexandria Covenant Church. Please consider increasing your financial commitment to the church to help meet the many ministry needs in our church and community. We have been blessed this year with several onetime gifts whic h have been given for specific purposes outside of funding our general expenses . These gifts have been designated and used to fund many things from youth ministry needs to improving the building . Some of these monies will also be used to fund a portion of our Every Kid a Camper fund, classroom equipment improvements, and new blinds for the Worship Center. Please be mindful of our Worship Service changes for the summer months. Beginning Sunday, May 27th, we will have two Worship Services on Sunday mornings scheduled for 8:30am and 10:00 am. For His Service, The leadership Team of Alexandria Covenant Church
