AMS BUILDING SYSTEMS The project was worked on over the course of four months, each dedicated to a core part of the finished product. The first portion was comprised of brand research and development of a mark that accurately represented their brand values. Following that, the next month was spent developing stationary items: letterheads, envelopes, blueprint templates and many other items that they could use throughout their work environment. Next was the design of a logo manual to ensure proper care of the brandâ€™s intended image, as well as to reinforce the different choices that were made in developing their logo. The final stage of the project was centered around promotional content. This was an entire series of mini-projects to assist the brandâ€™s success. It started with designing a fully-responsive website that enabled them to reach a larger audience. From there, we looked at the different products they could cater to clients in addition to their general service.
ELYSIAN is a revolutionary cosmetics brand that focuses on innovating products that will shape the future of the make-up industry. The main focus of the project was to create a form of packaging that showcased the brand’s emphasis on aesthetics, and originality, while also having a secondary functionality that encourages customers to keep their packaging instead of treating it as waste. This was accomplished by re-designing their brand identity from the ground up, and then developing a package design that was truly one of a kind. The ELYSIAN Make-up Kit includes: -

I DID WHAT? APP
I Did What? is an upcoming mobile application that allows users to replay their previous night in a story-journal format. Taking inspiration from the popular film “The Hangover”, the apps primary purpose is to record the events of a night out, because they may not be so memorable the following morning. The project started with icon development, and included everything from interface design to promotional videos. The icon design process began with a series of sketches within a perfect ratio grid to ensure the end result would reflect a balanced aesthetic. The final icon took a direction that combined two of the app’s main concepts into symbols: short-term amnesia (character gesture) and user location (map marker symbol). The color palette was made up of tones found in clubs and other various nightlife environments where the target demographic was most likely to use the app. The final icon was tested across all devices, and then the app development phase began.
BRANDING / WEB DESIGN
COYOTE BOXING CLUB The Coyote Boxing Club wanted to grow their brand locally by establishing an online presence. The project consisted of logo development, apparel and full design/development of their website. The primary function was to inform visitors of the programs they offered, and what set them apart from other combat facilities, but the site would also need a calendar system to showcase their upcoming events. After properly researching the brand and feeling confident in knowing itâ€™s mission, the logo development process began. The initial sketches covered a broad range of styles and ideas, and the final logo reflects an illustrative approach is often associated with brands in the sports industry. The color selection was based on the origin of the brand as an on-campus boxing club at the University of South Dakota. The finished website features a five page layout with interactive transitions and a scrolling event calendar. All of the photography was taken on-site at their facility and then edited to match their brandâ€™s aesthetic.
UI/UX DESIGN / MOTION GRAPHICS
Compass is an fast pass designed to streamline the process of flying with airlines. Itâ€™s primary purpose is ensuring users arrive to their flight on time, with the least interference. The watch alerts them of important events and then navigates them to the destination with a holographic interface floating above the users wrist.
PROOF MAGAZINE PROOF is a group collaborated editorial focused around high-end drinks and their cultural backgorunds. The issues are published quarterly with themes aligned with the season they are released in. In addition to the publication design, all photography was taken in-house to ensure a similar aesthetic between issues.
