In Lords Inc., we had designed a useful and also innovated multi-compartment recycle bin. For the ones who like to keep on top of ecotechnology these bin will be great. Made from recycled polypropylene, the Ethos is available in white, black or aluminum with the colors of each representative section it cannot be nor fashionable. The recycling Ethos is not that expensive in our official web site where it is currently available for Q.250 and the plastic bag recharge just for Q.30.

The colors of each section are : Yellow: for paper and cardboard.

Brown: organic waste.

Blue: glass.

Green: plastic.

Paper and Cardboard Paper and Cardboard are materials that you can find everywhere and everyday from posters and notebooks to cardboard boxes and magazines, also in our food; paper is part of our everyday lives. After all this use we give to the paper and cardboard is necessary to know where paper comes from and how it is important to our lives, therefore paper and cardboard are useful to recycle and give them other use once and once again. For this reason paper and cardboard recycling is the process of manufacturing old paper products and turning them into new, besides recycling which has been recognized as an aid contributing to climate change. The process for making paper and cardboard is a relatively easy to do, as first step is necessary to collect the paper and cardboard products that are around us, as second step the bring the paper to the recycling center, the next step, the paper and cardboard are sorted and transported to a pulping facility, later the paper is soaked and heated in huge vats, becoming pulp. Later on the pulp is screened and cleaned to remove glue, other debris and any remaining ink. Next the pulp is refined and beaten to make it ready to become paper again, next step the pulp is fed into a machine that spits out the pulp onto a flat moving screen where it forms sheets, in conclusion the sheets are rolled and dried and ready for their new life.

Organic Waste What Is Organic Waste? The organic waste is biological, it means that can discomposed easy, for example the paper, cardboard, food, green and garden waste, animal waste , etc. Food scraps, tend to biodegrade very fast more than other organic wastes, for example paper, tend to require more time or special conditions to biodegrade.

Waste Volumes and Contribution Organic wastes are the single largest component of the waste stream. In addition to being a valuable resource for nutrient poor soils, this material generates the most significant level of pollution when are thrown in places called landfills. Some of the organic wastes can cause health problems, such as disease, odors and pests.

Organic Wastes and the Environment In landfills, organic wastes decompose and produce a kind of gas called "biogas" that is a combination of methane, that contribute to the creation of the greenhouse gas. Other damage that causes it is the leach ate that has the potential to pollute groundwater. To protect our water resources we need to prevent pollution created by the uncontrolled treatment and disposal of organic waste.

Recycling and Reuse Organic wastes are resources that can be processed into various useful products. For example fuel, fertilizer and other creative forms to reuse this waste.

GLASS Glass in its original form, comes from three main virgin materials: sand, silica and limestone. Most manufactured glass in Australia does not use 100% raw materials. Instead, a percentage of recycled glass is utilized in the manufacturing process. Glass can be recycled over and over again. The same glass can be recycled a million times over to produce bottles and jars of the same high quality. However, people need to be careful about what type of glass they are recycling because sometimes the glass is mixed in with other materials that cause contamination and for instance some diseases. What can be recycled? Clear, green or brown bottles - including wine, beer, juice, soft drink and sauce bottles. Glass jars - such as those from jams and spreads What cannot be recycled? Ceramic plates, cups and tableware - such as pyrex and corning ware China.

Plastic How plastics are recycled? The plastics are recycled chemically or physically it will determine the quality and use of recycled products obtained. Plastics are polymers and it is a advantage because can have many applications or uses more than others materials. There are two types of plastics: * Thermoplastic: Is a type of plastic that are easy to recycle because it can be heated and molded several times and it doesn't affect its original properties. * Thermoset: They are difficult to recycle, they have to be destroy its molecular structure to transform and it make a big change on its original properties.

Recycling of plastics To carry out the recycling of plastic waste and all other waste, it is essential the cooperation of citizens at the time of the selective separation of waste. Citizens separate and recycle certain companies. Source separation The quantity of plastic things used in houses is very high, and actually 80% of the plastics recycling are packaged from homes, it is still desirable to increase the percentage of citizens that separate these wastes. Also

separated waste plastics industry, where the amount thereof is much higher, the remaining waste.
