Cristina is one of Italy’s most appraised young illustrators. She downloads Tinder for the first time in 2015 while living in Bologna. After a 5 year relationship with a woman, she reverts to online dating looking for male toys to calm her pain and solitude. CRISTINA PORTOLANO is an Italian cartoonist and illustration originally from Naples. She studied illustration and comics at the Art Academy of Bologna and EnsAD in Paris. Her debut graphic novel Nearly Miss (TopiPittori, 2016) was reprinted and received raving reviews. It was selected as one of the best comics of 2017 by Fumettologica, Lo Spazio Bianco, Panorama, and Vanity Fair, and was the recipient of the Premio Boscarato for Best New Author. Also, In 2017 she was one of the contributing artists for the international best selling book Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls 2. Cristina lives and works in Bologna.
