For a class project, we were given these bakery items to redesign: cake mix container, candles, and an icing container. I chose to go with a more “Ma & Pop� feel for my design. I assembled all of these items by hand, including the belly band which was also done by hand. I created the logo in Illustrator and printe in matte 80c weight paper.

APP design

For this project, I was asked to create a portfolio mobile application that would compliment my style as a designer. I went with hand drawn illustrations because I feel that best represents my style.

MIDNIGHT madness

For this project, I was aked to create a new design for a Johnson & Wales University event called Midnight Madness. I was asked to include the University colors as well as the University mascot, Willy the Wildcat. I created two designs, varying only by the claw marks on the banner. The design was originally hand drawn then scanned into Photoshop and Illustrator to fix up line work and add color.

JUICE boxes

For this project, I created a new brand of juice called Fresh. My illustrations focused on simplicity and brand consistency between the different flavors. The designs were hand done and scanned into photoshop for perspective manipulation and coloring.

In our Print design class, we were given the assignment of creating a label and package design. I chose to create a new product called Dragonfly Southern Tea. The main label is a handmade lilypad with the name carved out.

Each lid was individually made, each varying a little to represent different flavors. Each dragonfly has a heart to represent the southern love made into each and every tea.

RECORD c o v e r In a Print Design class, we were asked to create a record cover for our favorite band. I went with an Indie band called the Fruit Bats. Their relaxed and mellow feel inspired this light and flowy design for their cover. I chose the light pastels and funky lettering, all hand done and scanned in for coloring and line work in Illustrator.

T-SHIRT design This design, originally, was for a competition for an organization dedicated to helping African children learn about the arts. This design interprets the meaning in a literal sense, where the paintbrush is directed by children and together they are “painting Africa�. I created the design in Illustrator. The T-shirt colors (all except the black) represent the African Flag.

WELLNESS challenge

The Wellness Challenge is a campus wide health program designed to promote healthy eating and living habits on and off campus at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. This t-shirt was given to those who have completed the challege. I was asked by the coordinator to make TShirts for the cause and this is how they came out. I created the design in Illustrator.

ELMHURST rebrand

Elmhurst is a non-profit organization that is located in Rhode Island. They are a group of individuals dedicated to rebuilding playgrounds, planting gardens, as well as keep the environment clean from debris. I created 3 new logos, business card designs, and letterheads with the different logos (I chose 2 of the three). The original tree was hand drawn and then later scanned into Illustrator for line work and color.

CENTROPERU brand and web design

CentroPeru is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and educating the Providence community about Peruvian culture. They strive to get the community involved in events such as traditional dances, food festivals and other such things to promote the culture and arts of Peru. Their full name is The Center for the Arts and the Cultures of the Americas.

For Senior Portfolio, we were asked to create a rebrand for one of three restaurants. I chose to rebrand Dominos and focused mainly on their online presence, since that is where they are most popular. I recreated the Dominos logo, making the “i” dot similar to the icon used in Maps applications to show where you are. I created an application button, boxes (ranging from personal size to large), as well as iPad menus and environmental city graphics. I targeted the young working class, mostly in cities. I felt like an online presence would make it easier for them to order food especially since they work late and barely have time to cook. This is a fast and easy way to order pizza,
