SHELTER CITY | EMERGENCY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR CITIZEN M.ARCH Thesis_Valladolid, Spain 2014
Spain 2014: the highest unemployment rate in our history and the place where one in four people is in a real risk of poverty. In this context a hybrid building is planned to answer the problem. A building designed to solve the shortcomings of the citizen. The project is thought as the will of englobing a diverse program ranging from warehouses in a small modular atmosphere -almost industrial- to wooden shelters linked to the park and to the human scale environment. The implementation and integration of the building with its immediate environment is done in a very controlled way, always looking for a transition
Public vs Private
between the city and the park. To do this the building first fragments on the vertical axis into five functional fibers, of which the two closest to the park also fragment on the horizontal axis allowing nature to penetrate the interstices, in a direct dialogue between the architecture introduced into the park and nature that is introduced into the architecture. As for the materiality of the project is chosen corten steel for the special properties that allow the time to make their own mark and get a gradual integration into the environment, which added to their sculptural properties produce attractive spaces creating a link for life with the natural environment enhancing the dialogue between architecture and nature.

SCULPTURE NATIONAL MUSEUM Valladolid, Spain 2012
The new extension of the National Sculpture Museum, located in the center of Valladolid very close to the magnificent church of San Pablo, is presented as an opportunity for suturing and give coherence to the current complex set resulting from the dispersion of venues.
museum space needs and seeking to give a solution to this urban space. The building is conceived as a piece that connects with the previous enlargement and closes the plot adapting to its capricious geometry, blocking the worst views of backyards apple.
This unique museum has undergone several transformations and transfers throughout its history. Its origin dates from 1842 when it occupies the space of the College of Santa Cruz. During the dictatorship stressed its importance increased as a religious sculpture museum. With the arrival of democracy moves to the next Palacio de Villena. In 1990 Nieto and Sobejano architects designed the extension of the headquarters and rehabilitation of the old school. Enlargement is again proposed as an answer of the
The conceptual idea stems from the need to give an answer in a urban historic environment with a complex geometry and a very specific program. The proposal is based about the creation of a generous public space between the two buildings that invite citizens to enter the complex sought.

MUNICIPAL LIBRARY Sevilla, Spain 2010
It is proposed a library in a poor neighborhood in Seville, which lacks sufficient public facilities. The plot, a pure rectangle, located between the streets Tarfia and Avda. De la Raza has a surface of almost 3,000 m2. The program will be the usual for a library at neighborhood and some environmental and economic sustainability is requested.
The second envelope inside is disposed so that leaves a space around the building, that has variable width depending on the orientation and speaks of a marked duality in these latitudes: the need to close and protect from the Southwest sun and also open to north and courtyards, looking for thermal comfort.
The projectual idea is conceived as a large box of two levels with a double envelope that is enclosed in itself and that it’s only perforated at one point, creating access through a courtyard. The enclosure of the building is formed by a brick wall of 4.5m tall finished with Tyrolese revoke, that takes us to the Andalusian tradition of tall white walls that protected from the strong sun and insulated from outside noises. HOTEL ON A CLIFF Antofagasta, Chile 2013
It’s being proposed the development of a hotel in a privileged environment such as the ‘Monumento Natural de La Portada near the city of Antofagasta (Chile).
The exterior common spaces are arranged in terraces at different heights that assume the actual slope of the land and are used at night to activities.
The resort is for the the hotel franchise Explora, which understands tourism as a commitment by the host for the guest and the environment around them. With these conditions, the complex is conceived from 4 elongated concrete prisms supported on a light socket formed by wooden slats that unifies the whole and allows the ‘flight’ to the monument of La Portada of the top concret boxes. Functionally there is a clear segregation of more public to more private, where the suites have the most privileged views with a large window on the vastness of the Pacific. The interior common spaces, designed for daytime use, such as dining rooms and Spa are protected from the sun and with a neutral lighting by large windows on the short sides of the boxes. The furniture chose of the common areas are linked to the will of develop a essential atmosphere but elegant and sophisticated at the same time. The material proposal is very clear: concret and glass.

NATURE INTERPRETATION CENTER Innature competition, 2015
Water‌That essential element for life´s development, which covers three quarters of the planet. Ancient civilizations were born, thrived and succumbed on the shores of rivers, lakes, seas and oceans. Water has always been a determining element in our way of life and living, it’s an agent of change of what humans have been, are and will be, who are 70% water. The proposal arises from the intention to return to this element in any of the places in the world where it appears, to fall into it and let oneself go by its changing nature. Analyzing how to get around, observe and contemplate a place, without interfering excessively with the landscape, we came to the idea of a floating elements, which we conceive as elements of landscape exploration, contemplation and meditation, where the visitor is in direct contact with the place, inviting to appreciate what nature gives us. We do not need a building as such, but the proper way to approach the place, allowing visitors to discover the landscape from a different point of view,
without being limited to simple contemplation from its shores. Inhabiting the site by a return to the most primitive architectures, based on the manufacture, techniques and materials, as supported Gottfried Semper, for whom the cabin was the most primitive building that was generated around to a fire, understood as a social focus, which had to protect with the ground, cover and walls, these four elements born through the characteristic artisan tradition of each people. The project materializes through these minimum architectures whose support is water, able to meet the basic needs that arise, We establish a base on land containing facilities that society understood as basic to the proposal sustainable. The construction is possible for any person or civilization, materials depend on where the center of interpretation of nature are, using those that the place offers and recycling those that other civilization has discarded. Always respecting the premise minimal impact on the landscape, offering the possibility of dismantling without leaving hardly any human trace.

MASTER THESIS, MILAN 2017
I wanted to take the opportunity to design the NH Hotel Principado lobby. A special project for me as it was the first professional project in which I was involved working with a local architect 2 years ago. The proposal consider the whole space as an open space but creating filters through the introduction of retail-exhibition modules that configurate the space creating an elegant and sophisticated italian style mood while responding to all aspetcts the client asked. As a result, the hotel enhances its appeareance recovering its historical place in the city of Oviedo. The furniture choice was actually an opportunity to make a huge research through the most important brands such as Poliform, Minotti, Flos, B&B Italia, Molteni&Dada, etc... The furniture choice is not accidental, but responds to aesthetic and functional criteria at the same time. The central composition with Minotti sofas in which the different elements respond to different ways of using the space and as a result an elegant and polyfunctional interior space with a touch of Italian classicism required by the client. Lighting is considered as another material, playing with reflections and effects.

HOTEL | BEDROOM Milan 2016
An experimental project, to design a space that could be used as a hotel bedroom or as a showrrom. With 20.000â‚Ź as budget and in a 6x4 meters box with a central window. Starting from the request to introduce retail in the room the idea of showcase was born. We had developed it by creating these showcases that became space division but also could be customizable with a brand partner of the room, so these pannels were the real structural elements of the room becoming a very radical and innovative concept. That allows us to disintegrate the traditional bathroom into different spaces that work together with the room creating a whole open-space playing with reflections, transparency, brand exhibition or personal exhibition.

SPARK OFFICES Milan, 2016
The project starts from the analysis of the company Spark: its name, logo philosophy and workers. Spark understood as the proponent of a future explosion. From the analysis of the logo we discover it was kind of a deconstructed star that led us to the Supernova: A process that occurs when a star ends its life cycle and explodes. After this explosion the reverse effect, the Hipernova, in which the core of the hypernovae would collapse directly into a black hole occurs, reabsorbing some of that energy. The concept radically regulate the layout of the two floor levels of the company offices. Playing on the ground floor Supernova phenomenon while on the first floor the hypernovae occurs. The explosion’s concept articulates both the layout and the color of the different spaces proposal from the core of our project: creative staff. They’ve been positioned at the center of space to highlight its importance and because through his creative ‘spark’ gives rise to the explosion that generates all the internal space. The explosion extends from the creative epicenter to the bystanders spaces
like the restaurant and technical staff area, the more diluted away from the center. On the upper floor happens the reverse phenomenon, extreme energy, where micro-explosions of various sizes that alter the immediate space petering this energy toward the center to be finally absorbed by the black hole where the lifts and services are.

APARTMENT IN MILAN Milan, 2016
The main theme of the project was to communicate the identity of the customer within the domestic space. Restructuring of a two-story penthouse (+ 300 m2 of interior space plus 90 m2 terrace) located in the center of Milan in a bourgeois area. Access to housing is done through two centers: one for owners and another for service staff. The clients are kind of particular family formed by a couple of an architect and an art gallery owner who live with the architect‘ s father who is an old and famous French sculptor. Together with them live an assistant who especially help the old man.
space leaving the lower floor mainly for the elderly and domestic worker, and harness the full upper space for the couple, in which the internal-external boundary directly disappear, merging into a single space very characterized. Each space has been designed to meet the needs of each member and at the same time a totally flexible solution due to the open-space is designed, which will ease future changes over the years.
After an exhaustive study of the personality of each member of the family we planned an elegant architectural proposal but with many nods to art and especially sculpture, understood either as a part properly located in the living room or understood as sculptural staircase suspended of the ceiling in passion red color that links the two floors of the house. It was decided for privacy and enjoy the

EXHIBIT - FLORIM Milan, Italy 2016
FLORIM EXPERIENCE COMPETITION Temporal architectural installation... starting point in the generation of the project idea, finding an alternative way to get visibility of the Florim brand. The aim is to show, sell and close; where the space is no longer fixed to become itinerant and ephemeral offering almost always a unique experience. We want to make an installation which apart from showing the photographic heritage of the most significant architectural works built with Florim materials, express itself the brand’ values aswell as the materials themselves.
We seek to create an object to be looked at, touched and experienced. We pay special attention to innovation, technology and the smart contemporary research-oriented architecture. In addition we intend to enhance customer approach to the Florim brand, so that allows interaction versatility offered, creativity and endless solutions. For that we create ‘ the interaction area’ that complements the display area facility.

RETAIL SKY COMPETITION MILAN, 2016
The project starts from the analysis of the company SKY: its name and logo colours which have recently be inclusived in the new logo. SKY is a world in colours. The proposal is to create different profiles pieces with different functions for different people, following the strategy ‘Design for all’ These pieces have a two faces skin in which the interior ones formed all together the colour gradient of SKY while the exterior skin is all white with the logo on it that works quite well. These different pieces are easily assembled manually and allows different layouts positions.
