Throughout my life, one thing has remained clear, design is something I am passionate about and wish to continue. I am a well-presented person, who is reliable and approachable with an interest for learning new skill sets. Recently graduating from Falmouth University, I enjoy learning about all aspects of Art and Design but with an interest for product design and that associated with the industry.

2002 – 2007 Park House School GCSEs (Grades ranging from A - C)

2007 - 2009 Park House School A-Levels. (Grades A - C)

2009 - 2010 Basingstoke College of Technology. Art and Design Foundation Diploma (Merit)

2010 - Falmouth University - 2013 BA (Hons) Sustainable Product Design Second Class Honours (Upper Division) Based on two central themes - Sustainability and Community. A course that teaches how design is a powerful tool for change. Innovative products that consider the environment and the role of the designer in the community. It’s about exploring environmental, economic and social issues and their relationship to design. The course allows you to master 3D design processes from conception to production by developing your research, drawing, computer, making and presentation skills.

h y d r at i o n Improving

the intake of fluids for the elderly

Tea and coffee plays a big part in British society which includes the elderly.

How can we change the process of making tea and coffee easier for the elderly to improve hydration and their standard of living?

coffee

spoon A simple idea to make the process of tea and coffee easier and more efficient for the elderly. This product encourages the elderly to hydrate when feeling fatigued from arthritis. at the end of the day. This can eliminate several steps of the coffee making process. The ‘coffee spoon’ contains powered milk and sweeteners however keeping its function as a usable spoon for making a hot drink.

Combining the coffee and a spoon together reduces the steps to make a cup of coffee improving hydration for the elderly

kettle My second concept that aids the elderly in hydration is re-designing the kettle to make it easier to dispense water for making tea and coffee. The kettle uses induction technology to boil the water keeping it safe and by reducing weight. Another design element is the handle, using bright colours helping those with arthritis and visual impairments.

Once a festival has finished, people leave their unwanted waste including tents, which end up going into landfill with few been re-used.

T h e additive d2w can break down plastic, in particularly, polypropylene. This would mean that those tents made from plastic could be recycled, however those that cannot can be sent to landfill. This will safely and sustainably bio-degrade after an allotted time set by the designer.

The final design considers many elements to create a sustainable tent concept for festivals. Some of these include utilising the social aspects of camping, important during festivals.

reducing

water reducing washing bowl for small houses

The water saving washing up bowl uses pre-existing technology using a living hinge (similar to that of a bendy straw) encouraging the use of less water when washing up only a few items. For when this is the case, the bowl collapses, therefore allowing the user to fill up a fraction of its total volume. When more items are needed to be washed, the bowl expands to allow for the extra items and water volume.
