Julie Lundstrum Kirby, ’88, 1609 Twin Courts Lane, Marietta, GA 30008, is a social work supervisor for the Cobb County Community Services Board. Julie and her husband Doug moved to Georgia after seven years in the Detroit area. They continue to travel to San Diego, Phoenix, Chicago, Hilton Head and Michigan to see family and friends. Julie received her master’s degree in social work from Wayne State University. Kurt Kobiljak, ’88, 21370 Knudsen Dr., Grosse Ile 48138, is a partner with the law firm of Pentiuk, Couvreur and Kobiljak, P.C. He received his J.D. in 1991 and married Kristin Carnes in 1995. Kurt is a Grosse Ile Township trustee and serves as police commissioner. He is founder and president of Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy, board member of the GI Educational Foundation, and member of the Corporate Counsel Vision 21 Inc. Catherine Szliter Lusader, ’88, 4169 Bold Meadows, Oakland Township 48306, is a full-time mom. She married Scott Lusader in 1990 and had daughter Alexa and son Scottie. She received her M.B.A. from Wayne State University. Darrell Todd Maurina, ’88, A5783 141st Ave., Holland 49423-9374, has been a reporter for Christian Renewal since 1991. He was married to Boheon Ann Maurina in May 1998. He received a B.A. in theology

from Calvin College in 1989 and did graduate study at Calvin Theological Seminary. John Mundell III, ’88, 2302 Oakwood Dr., SE, East Grand Rapids 49506, is vice president and director of Franklin Metal Trading Corp. He married Katharine Lyman Mundell, ’91, in 1992, and they have a daughter, Caroline Ellen. Nancy Reed O’Brien, ’88, 490 Cottage Hill, Elmhurst, IL 60126, is a senior account executive with Katz Radio, the largest national radio sales rep firm in the nation. Before her current position, she worked in various advertising agencies in Chicago. She earned a master of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She and her husband James have traveled to Ireland and all over the U.S. Michael and Katherine Giblin Olsson, both ’88, 828 Wooded Lane, Marshall 49068, were married in 1989 and have three children. Mike works for State Farm Insurance, and Katie is home with the kids and loving it. They started at Comerica Bank and in 1991 moved to Escanaba. Mike accepted a position in the Michigan Regional Office of State Farm which brought them to Marshall. Katie is very active in Marshall Newcomers Club and St. Mary’s Church.

Maria Randazzo-Purchiaroni, ’88, 15841 Sugar Maple Dr., Fraser 48026, is employed by Randazzo Fresh Market. She and her husband Mark have a daughter, Rose Mary. Jeff St. John, ’88, 431 Sycamore St., Decatur, GA 30030, is a computer consultant for Information Technology Group in Atlanta, GA. He is past president of Forrest Hills Neighborhood Association and volunteers to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity. He received an undergraduate degree in accounting from Georgia State University. He and his wife Jennifer have a son, Dylan, and a daughter, Summer. David Sibilsky, ’88, 989 St. Charles Ave. #4, Atlanta, GA 30306, is senior consultant at Andersen Consulting Strategic Services. David left Saturn Corp. in 1995 to attend Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He graduated with an M.B.A. in 1997 and started with Andersen Consulting in Atlanta in 1997. David has traveled to Europe, China, Japan and Egypt. Amy Thomas-Mellema, ’88, 2526 Belfast SE, Grand Rapids 48507, is an attorney and corporate counsel at Meijer, Inc. She married Todd Mellema in June 1995 and had daughter Paige this past May. Amy is a volunteer at the YMCA and is a member of the Women’s Lawyer Association of Michigan.

Andrew, ’88, and Amy Kaufman Valentine, ’89, 26409 Westmeath St., Farmington Hills 48334, have two sons. Andy has been promoted to product manager at Magic Line, Inc., a Midwest electronic funds transfer network. Mary Sue Martin Vorbrich, ’88, Azabu 1990 #202, 1-27-13 Minami Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0047, Japan. In 1991 Mary Sue and her husband Pete graduated from law school, got married, and moved to Minneapolis. Mary Sue has practiced construction law for seven years and was made a partner at Fabyanske, Westra, and Hart, P.C. in February 1998. Pete was transferred to Tokyo where they currently live. They will be there for three or four years and hope to travel throughout Asia while they’re there. Charlie Wasczenski, ’88, 647 Belton, Garden City 48135, is a branch manager for First of America Bank. He is married and has two children. Charlie received his master’s in corporate finance from Walsh College. Cathy Herbst Welch, ’88, 5951 Sunrise Dr., Ypsilanti 48197, is an internal auditor for Rouge Steel Industries. Cathy and her husband Alan were married in 1994. She received her M.B.A. from Wayne State University. Cynthia Weisenauer Witt, ’88, 6614 W. Willamette Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336, is a family practice physician with the Community Health Center/La Clinica in Kennewick. She earned her M.D. from Wake Forest University. She and her husband Thurman have a daughter, Savannah Grace. Jerry Yaklic, ’88, 5980 Fox Trace Court, Huber Heights, OH 45424, is an obstetrician- gynecologist at the WrightPatterson USAF Medical Center. He has been married for five years to Kim Lightheart Yaklic, ’89, and they have two daughters. Jerry received the Faculty Teaching Award from Wright State University.

89 Steve, ’89, and Cackie Boomer Germic, ’90, recently purchased a home at 873 Audubon Rd., East Lansing 48823. Steve holds a doctorate in American literature from Wayne State University, and has just completed his first semester teaching in Michigan State University’s Department of American Thought and Language. Karla Ramsey Hammond, ’89, has been named assistant to Albion College President Peter T. Mitchell, ’67. A recipient of four W.K. Kellogg Excellence in Education Awards during her previous career teaching high school science, Karla is pursuing a master’s degree in science education from Michigan State University. Darwin Vandenvender, ’89, has opened a private law practice in Hudson. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law.

90 Jennifer Baggerly, ’90, was one of only 22 teachers invited to participate in Western Michigan University’s Invitational Third Coast Writing Project, designed to teach teachers methods for integrating writing across the curriculum. Jennifer will now serve as a writing consultant for Western Michigan University and her employer, Colon Junior-Senior High School. In addition, she has had a manuscript published in Rural Voices: A Sense of Place, which is part of The National Writing Project. Canduace Cloy, ’90, is pursuing a master’s degree in geology from Western Michigan University. Besides her Albion bachelor’s degree, Canduace also has a degree in library science from Central Michigan University. She has worked as a dispatcher for Albion Public Safety for the past 11 years.

91 Stephen Arntz, ’91, recently reported for duty at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He currently holds the rank of lieutenant. Christine Dykgraaf, ’91, spent the spring 1998 semester teaching religious studies courses at both the University of Michigan and Albion College. She now lives in Princeton, NJ. Brenda Lewis Roth, ’91, completed her M.B.A and is a market research manager for Marriott at the corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD. 92 Katie Ebbing, ’92, has been promoted to account supervisor for BMW national advertising and for Camp Heartland, a camp for children living with AIDS. She lives in Minneapolis, MN. Todd Gardanier, ’92, recently received an M.B.A. in finance and business information systems from Michigan State University. He also spent two months traveling to Japan and Taiwan. Currently he is working as a financial analyst for GMAC in Detroit. Bryan Klym, ’92, owns his own dental practice in Glen Arbor. He earned his D.D.S. in 1996 and is a member of several professional organizations. He and his wife Lori welcomed Patrick Gerard on March 9, 1998. Lisa Beebe Machesky, ’92, and her husband Dan own a full-service computer business called Bee Sky Consulting, offering software, hardware and network support to small businesses and individuals. The Macheskys live in Birmingham. Krista Wojcik, ’92, is an occupational therapist in Columbia, SC.
