The Society’s Annual Show is held under the Society’s Rules and Regulations. The committee may add, alter, vary or revoke any Rules and Regulations it may deem advisable. No exhibit shall be staged for competition until subscription or entrance fees are paid to the Society. Fees may be paid by direct credit, cheque, EFTPOS or cash. Entry Forms may be received via email, or mail. If Entry Cards are to be returned please allow time for them to be processed. The committee reserves the power to reject or remove any Exhibitor, servant or attendant, or any visitor from the Show without being required to give any explanation or being liable for compensation. The powers conferred on the committee shall be delegated to the Secretary and all monies won by such offenders shall be forfeited. NO DOGS, excepting registered Assistance Dogs or Dogs for exhibition/competition, will be allowed on the grounds. The committee reserves the right to postpone, and further postpone any Show from the advertised date, and may make any alterations it deems desirable in the schedule of prizes, or other show arrangements. The decision of the Society on all points shall be final and without recourse. NO GATE ENTRY FEE AND/OR MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL BE REFUNDED. Quantities, weights and numbers will be strictly adhered to. All persons competing and exhibiting in the Show do so at their own risk. No protest will be considered if person protesting has not an entry in the class concerned. The Head Steward of each section reserves the right to reject and remove from the ground any exhibit, which is in their opinion dangerous or objectionable. The Albany Agricultural Society Incorporated Committee will not be held liable for loss of or damage to the exhibitor’s property whilst on the grounds. Stewards reserve the right to re-enter an entry into a more appropriate section and/or class. Please ensure all vehicles are removed immediately after they have been unloaded and parked offsite in public parking zones. All vehicles parked illegally upon the grounds shall be TOWED AWAY WITHOUT NOTICE. NO ALCOHOL is to be brought onto the grounds.

PRIVACY STATEMENT: The information provided by you in the Application form is collected and used by the Albany Agricultural Society Incorporated to organise and conduct competitions and or exhibitions at the Albany Agricultural Show. We may publish details such as your Name, Photograph and Exhibit details in any Albany Agricultural Society publication or communication. Such information may also be made available to; and published by the media. Your telephone number will be shared with the Show Programme publisher. We will not disclose your personal information without your consent for any other purpose unless required or authorised by law. You may request access to your personal information and, if necessary, request that our records of that information be corrected by writing to the Secretary, Albany Agricultural Society Incorporated, Post Office Box 392, Albany WA 6331 or by Email: aas@albanyshow.org.au REFUND POLICY: Membership – no refund Competitors – no refund unless recommended by the Section Councillor Please keep your receipt or entry cards as proof of purchase.

NOTICES All exhibitors must pay entrance fee to the grounds on Show Days. Exhibitors will please check individual sections for times that exhibits in the various sections must be in place. These times will be rigidly adhered to. Exhibits MUST NOT be dismantled or removed from the ground before 5:00pm on Saturday. In the event of there being no competition in any particular Class, prizes may be given if the judges certify to particular merit, however, they are specifically requested to with-hold prizes - even where there is competition if the exhibits are of inferior description, or not suitable for the class in which they are competing, they may be awarded a 2 nd prize. Prize money where applicable will be available at the Secretary’s office from 2:00pm Saturday 9 th November 2019. If you are GST registered, you must provide a tax invoice to the Albany Agricultural Society to claim prize money including GST. All prize money not collected by Wednesday 20th November 2019 (or tax invoices not lodged) will revert back to the Society. Entries in Show Sections will be received by the Society’s office: 88 Cockburn Road, Albany WA 6330. Please check your relevant section for closing dates AS NO LATE ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED. PLEASE NOTE: The Committee reserves the right to restrict entries in any class should the need arise. Please submit all entries on the original application forms supplied with the Schedule for that section. For the Alpacas section, this is a requirement. All forms for that section MUST be completed.

Conditions: Important, please read before submitting your entries – NEW for 2019

 Entry to Grounds – for Showjumping from Cockburn Road into Symers Street - one way only. Exit is via Campbell Road. All other Horse Sections enter from North Road at Eastern Pavilion entry gates (old Soccer gate). Exit via same gate.  Gate Fees Everyone is required to pay entry to the Show on each day. Two day passes and parking pass can be pre-purchased from the Albany Agricultural Society website or from the office at 88 Cockburn Road Albany prior to the Show or pay full amount at the gate each day.  Parking – Vehicles with floats, sponsors, competitors and officials with appropriate passes may be parked on the Showground in an orderly manner and as directed by Parking Attendants. Trucks to park as Directed and are asked not to block the entrance to any horse and pedestrian areas.  Security Fencing along boundary - DO NOT tie horses up to any fence.  Regulations and Bylaws: The Society’s Annual Show is held under the Society’s Rules and Regulations, a copy of which is available at the Secretary’s office. The council may add to, alter vary or revoke any rules and regulations as it may deem advisable.  Society’s liability: The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any exhibitor, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Society blameless and indemnified against any legal proceedings arising from any such incident.  Protests: Must be lodged within half an hour after the event with a deposit of $50 to a Councillor for the horse section or the Secretary, which shall be forfeited to the society if the protest on due consideration be deemed unfounded or frivolous.  Dangerous or diseased exhibits: Should the Council have any reason to suspect that any exhibit is dangerous or diseased, it may have the same removed from or refused admission to, the grounds.  Programme: The Committee reserves the right to alter or amend this program in any way it sees fit without giving prior warning. Classes may be combined or split at the committee/judges discretion. All rings will be running concurrently so competitors are advised to bear this in mind when submitting entries. CLASSES WILL NOT BE HELD UP FOR A COMPETITOR COMPETING IN ANOTHER RING.  Refunds: Non-participation in an event will NOT warrant a refund of entry monies. Entry monies will only be refunded less 20% administration fee if the request is accompanied by a certificate from a Veterinarian or a Doctors Certificate dated within 14 days prior to the show.  Judges: The Judge’s decision in all classes is final. Judges are NOT to be approached under any circumstances by any competitor or spectator. Classes will NOT be held up for late arrivals except at the discretion of the judge. Page 7 of 36


 Entries: All exhibits MUST BE ENTERED under the registered name and in the name of the registered owner or lessee. HEIGHT/BREED REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES/ PAPERS – copies are to be provided with entry forms. All Breed classes will be run according to the rules and regulations of the respective Breed Societies.  Late Entries: Entries received after Friday 2nd November 2018 will only be accepted at the Agricultural Society Office at the discretion of the Section Organizer together with a Late Penalty fee of $15.00.  All Colts/Stallions must be shown in suitable and substantial headgear and MUST NOT BE HANDLED / RIDDEN BY ANY PERSON UNDER 16 YEARS unless PERMITTED BY THEIR BREED SOCIETY. There will be no substitution of horses from those specified on the entry form. Horse’s ages are calculated from the 1st August each year.  Yards and Camping: Available at Albany Equestrian Centre, Cost $5.00 per horse per night. For bookings please contact Karen Mayfield 0408099757.  Armbands & Height Certificates: Showhorse competitors will be required to produce height certificates to collect armbands. A $2 refundable deposit per number is to be paid on collection at the Ring Caravan. Numbers are not required for Lead Rein and First Ridden Events.  Disclaimer: All competitors/riders/exhibitors in the horse section MUST complete the Disclaimer Form before bringing horses onto the showground. Everyone is required to pay entry to the Show on each day. If at close of entries there are insufficient numbers in any class, the committee reserves the right to cancel or combine classes 3. Late entries will be accepted before the start of the day, although a $15 surcharge will apply. Allowance will be made for nomination amendments which must be processed prior to show jumping commencing. 4. Because of the difficulty in getting assistance in this section, a helper is required on both days, either AM or PM. Please advise your name and preferred time on the entry form. 5. Showjumping Helper Fee - $10 per rider per day refunded upon completion of duty. 6. Disputes Committee: Janet Porter, Barbara Cook, Fenella Sept and Peter Madigan. 7. Jackets are required to be worn. 8. On Friday and Saturday, horses may be entered in up to three (3) classes per day and one (1) invitational. 9. All a and b classes will be run concurrently. 10. Optimum Time classes will be judged closest to the Optimum Time, no matter whether over or under the Optimum Time. 11. All riders must wear approved protective headgear. Such headgear must be worn with the chin strap properly adjusted and fastened when mounted in the arena and all warm up areas

Conditions: 1. Entry Fee - Lead Rein $30.00. Entry Fee - First Ridden $30.00. 2. Riders competing in these classes are not permitted to enter any other Show Horse events. 3. Lead Rein riders must be a minimum of 4 years and under 8 years of age on the day of competition. 4. Riders competing in Lead Rein classes must not have competed off the lead in any official or unofficial event prior. 5. Combinations must choose to do either lead rein or first ridden not both. Classes: 1. Lead Rein Pony -12hh and under. - To be ridden by a child 4 years and under 8 years who may not compete in any other hack classes. The pony is to be led on foot, from a loose rein attached to the back of a cavesson noseband. The pony is judged on manners, quality, movement and obedience. It should be nicely presented (plaited etc) and the overall effect of pony child and leader to be a complete picture. The leader should be smartly dressed (not jeans) preferably skirt and jacket or tailored slack suit, with flat shoes and headscarf or hat. The pony may be required to walk and trot (but not canter) and stand while the rider dismounts and is legged up. The pony is to be judged NOT the rider. Handler to be 18 years and over. 2. This is the final event of the regional competition which includes Mount Barker and the nofrills Albany. Entries close Thursday 24th October 2019.
