The Spa Experience

Located within Albany's northern amenities next to the Fitness Center, The Spa & Wellness Center offers a range of treatments including facials, massages and detoxifying wraps, all conducted in individual spa villas surrounded by lush outdoor gardens. The unique, freestanding spa villas feature cascading waterfalls, dual massage beds, vitality soaking tubs, private bathrooms and cozy dining areas and daybeds for an intimate and relaxing spa environment. During your time with us, we encourage you to enjoy our lounge and spa amenities before and after your scheduled treatment so you leave feeling refreshed and revitalized.

IV Therapy, IM Therapy & Boosters $50 - $250

Intravenous (IV) and Intramuscular (IM) therapies contain a mixture of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients. This is an effective way to deliver nutrients directly to the circulatory system resulting in heightened levels of mental and physical vitality.

Ozone Therapy $300

Ozone therapy refers to the process of administering ozone gas into your body to treat a disease or wound. Research shows that this is a very effective method for treating medical conditions by stimulating the immune system. It can also be used to disinfect and treat disease.

Laser Hair Removal $80 - $300

Lockers

The men's and women's locker rooms are open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily. Personal items remaining in lockers over an extended period will be removed and held for your collection.

Deepen your relaxation and promote wellness from while enjoying your spa services with a complimentary loose leaf tea. All natural herbs and spices are combined to relax, invigorate and cleanse the body. Moet Champagne is available for purchase for those who want to add to their Spa Experience.

Wellness Center

Elite Care Clinic

In partnership with Doctors Hospital, Albany offers a full-time office and practice within The Spa & Wellness Center. The practice facilitates wellness visits, administers vaccines, runs diagnostic tests and prescribes medications, as well as handles episodic, on-property medical needs.

A fully-equipped ambulance and two trained and licensed emergency medical technicians (EMTs) are stationed at Albany 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day for members, residents and guests who are on property at Albany.

Dr. Stephen Truszkowski

Dr. Stephen Truszkowski is a Canadian-trained chiropractor, medial acupuncturist and trainer with clinical focus on movement, performance, rehab and patient education. Dr. Truszkowski welcomes clients and patients of all ages, abilities and conditions while maintaining a special interest in rotational sports. He devotes much of his continuing education on finding ways to help these rotational athletes increase both performance and injury resilience. Dr. T also coaches and takes care of the golf and tennis academy athletes at Windsor High School and has worked with athletes from beginners to Olympic gold medalists.

Dr. Renee Peet-Iferenta

Dr. Renee Peet-Iferenta is the founder of a successful practice in Nassau, The Bahamas. Practicing Dentistry since 1989, she trained at Howard University in Washington D.C., where she obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Peet-Iferenta is United States boarded by the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners, which covers 14 states in the Northeastern U.S. She also maintains both New Jersey and Bahamian Licensure. Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Peet-Iferenta continually seeks out opportunities for professional development, most recently participating in programs at Tufts University and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, both renowned institutions where she maintains valuable professional relationships with leading doctors. Dr. Peet-Iferenta is married to Dr. James Iferenta, and are proud parents to three adult children: Alex, a graduate of the University of Virginia; Alyssa, a graduate of Boston College; and Andrew, a student at Colby College in Maine.

Dr. Devonnia Bonimy-Lee

Dr. Bonimy-Lee, the owner of Viva Physio & Wellness, is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Academy of Pelvic Physical Therapy (APTA Academy) and is the President of the Bahamas Association of Physiotherapists (BAPT). Dr. Bonimy-Lee received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University where she learned the art and science of caring while becoming the first registered Physical Therapist with a clinical doctorate degree in The Bahamas.

The Spa & Wellness Center invites you to enjoy your spa experience to the fullest potential and respectfully ask that you familiarize yourself with these guidelines.

Hours of Operation

Open daily from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Scheduling an Appointment

To schedule an appointment, please contact The Spa & Wellness Center Concierge team. To ensure your preferred time and service is available, we recommend booking in advance. All spa treatments and packages will need to be guaranteed with a member account or credit card.

Arrival Time

We recommend you arrive up to 15 minutes before your treatment to complete our intake form, change, relax, and enjoy the spa facilities. Please be advised that late arrivals will result in a reduction of treatment time.

The spa will provide luxurious towels, robes and slippers and any amenities required for use during your spa visit.

Spa Facilities & Access

The following spa facilities are available when scheduling a spa service: spa changing area, sauna, steam room, lockers, showers and relaxation area. The men's and women's locker rooms are open from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily.

Personal items remaining in lockers over an extended period will be removed and held for your collection.

Off-Site Treatments

We kindly extend a variety of our services in the comfort of your own villa or residence for an additional charge of $100.

Pregnancy

We offer prenatal massage for expectant women from your second trimester onwards or for nursing mothers. If you are expecting, please check with your doctor prior to any treatment.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment is very important to us and we understand that sometimes schedules change and adjustments are necessary. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without providing enough notice, we miss the opportunity to provide a service to another member or guest. Less than 24hour notice will result in a 50% charge. “No Shows” will be charged 100% of their reserved service amount.

Spa Etiquette

Our spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquility. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity. The spa is a smoke-free environment. A guest who appears intoxicated will be denied access to The Spa.

Health Conditions

Kindly advise us of any health conditions including cold and flu, allergies or injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy and medical treatments which could affect your choice of treatment when making your reservation or at the time of service. Please note that management has the right to decline service if deemed necessary for the health of the guest or the therapist.

Age Requirements

For the use of spa and fitness facilities guests must be 16 years or older. Please contact The Spa team for details on treatments available for our younger guests.

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of endless possibilities with a spa gift certificate. Please contact The Spa team for details. Please note gift certificates are non-refundable and nontransferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Valuables

The Spa & Wellness Center accepts no responsibility for loss of valuables and jewelry at any time on the spa and wellness premises. Lockers are provided in both men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Lost Property

All lost property found on the premises should be handed to the spa receptionist. Items will be handed over to Albany security. Liquids, undergarments and hair brushes are kept for one month.

Prices

All prices are quoted in USD and are subject to change at any time. For your convenience, a 20% gratuity and 10% VAT will be added to your bill for all services. Additional gratuity for outstanding service is discretionary.

Food & Beverage

Guests are prohibited from bringing any outside food or alcoholic beverages into the spa. Elixir Tea & Bubbles is open and available during operating hours for you to enjoy during your experience at the spa.
