WELCOME TO ALBANY

I

t is my pleasure to welcome you to Albany, Bahamas and the 2017 Hero World Challenge.

Albany, the beautiful resort community that my friend Joe Lewis and I started, is a tremendous host site for this tournament. Eighteen of the world’s best golfers, our partners and guests have enjoyed the championship links-style golf course and the great facilities at Albany since the Hero World Challenge moved here in 2015. I am very happy to welcome back Hero MotoCorp, our title sponsor. I personally work with Hero and my friend Mr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, and I am proud to be an ambassador for this outstanding company. As the world’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, Hero is a very strong global brand and has helped to elevate the global reach and stature of the Hero World Challenge. The success of the Hero World Challenge is a credit to my father’s legacy. His commitment to improve the lives of youth in need is a value he instilled in me. The Hero World Challenge helps us do just that. As a cornerstone event for TGR Live, the Hero World Challenge benefits my foundation’s fundraising efforts and since 1999, the tournament has raised more than $26 million for youth charities. The Hero World Challenge currently supports the college-access programs of my foundation as well as the Tavistock Foundation and the Bahamas Youth Foundation.

Because of events like the Hero World Challenge, my foundation has been able to make an impact on the lives of youth through education. The TGR Learning Lab has served more than 150,000 students since opening over 10 years ago. We’ve introduced 85,000 girls to STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) careers and we’ve reached 2,500 educators to date through our TGR EDU: Create professional development program. The Earl Woods Scholar Program, which helps low-income, first-generation students become the first in their family to attend college, currently supports nearly 200 scholars and alumni and boasts a graduation rate of more than 98 percent, one of the highest college graduation rates among scholarship programs in the United States. In addition, our recently launched digital platform, TGR EDU: Explore, provides free, global access to our programs, offering educators quality lesson plans and introducing students to options for college and careers in STEM. It means so much to me to share these success stories, which are a testament to your support of my foundation and the Hero World Challenge. Thank you and enjoy the 2017 Hero World Challenge at Albany.

WELCOME TO THE

HERO WORLD CHALLENGE I

t is indeed my immense pleasure to welcome you all to this year’s edition of the Hero World Challenge.

The sun, sand and golf – all three elements come together every year here at Albany in The Bahamas to make the Hero World Challenge a grand success. For me, this is more than just a golfing event; it is in every sense a celebration of human aspirations, ingenuity, innovation and the spirit of excellence. It is also my pleasure and privilege to extend a hearty welcome once again to Tiger Woods – the tournament host. This is now the fourth consecutive year that we are partnering with the Tiger Woods Foundation for this marquee event. A global icon, Tiger has inspired millions of youngsters across the world to pursue their dreams. The philosophy perfectly echoes our motto at Hero, which believes “There’s a Hero in Each One of Us,” and I am sure we will get to see a lot of golfing heroes here at Albany during the course of the week.

The 2017 Hero World Challenge will once again see the strongest invitational field in golf, which has become the hallmark of this event. The course is set, the players are ready, and a great week of golf beckons. I wish all the players the very best of luck. Those who have witnessed this spectacular event over the past three years know that this is a unique experience. I am sure this year will also live up to your expectations, and the memories will stay with you for a very long time. Thank you for being part of this unique celebration of golf. Enjoy the tournament! PAWA N M U N JA L C H A I R M A N , M A N AG I N G D I R EC TO R A N D C H I EF E X ECU T IV E O FFI C ER H ERO MOTO CO R P

I have always been a firm believer in the saying that when you dream big, the elements conspire to make it come true. In many ways, the Hero World Challenge symbolizes the giant strides that Hero MotoCorp has taken in the global arena in a very short span of time, rapidly expanding its footprint across multiple continents. EXPANDING GLOBAL FOOTPRINT ACROSS CONTINENTS At Hero MotoCorp, the focus has been on exploring new growth markets in order to keep expanding its global footprint. Argentina, the second largest two-wheeler market in Latin America, became the 35th global market of Hero MotoCorp in January 2017. The Company marked the occasion with the launch of the Glamour motorcycle in the national capital Buenos Aires, which was its first-ever global product launch outside of India. The brand of Hero is now present in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Argentina, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru in the Americas; Angola, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Iran, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda and UAE in Africa and the Middle East; and Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India in Asia.

In September 2015, Hero MotoCorp commenced operations at its first overseas manufacturing facility in Colombia, thereby becoming the only Indian two-wheeler company to set up a manufacturing plant in Latin America. tough year for Jason Day isn’t stopping him from getting back in the game. While attempting to defend his title, Day withdrew in the opening-round at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play, revealing his mother was about to undergo lung cancer surgery later that week. “When you feel like you’re going to lose someone who is very close to you, there’s nothing you want to do more than just be with them and you don’t even want to think about playing golf or even working. So there’s a stretch there where I‘d just go home and just sit around with her,” Day quoted over his time off. Day did, however, clinch a second place finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson. After he three-putted for bogey, he was defeated by Billy Horschel at the first hole of sudden death, which was his first loss in three playoff appearances. Throughout the season, Day had five top-10 finishes including the PGA Championship and THE NORTHERN TRUST, proving he is working his way back to the top. On the side, Day and his wife Ellie founded the Brighter Days Foundation, with a mission of providing funding and resources to deserving projects and organizations in their hometowns.

lthough Tommy Fleetwood enters the Hero World Challenge without a PGA TOUR win, the long-haired Englishman has come close.

Fleetwood posted a final-round 5-under 66, including a final-hole birdie, to claim a second place finish at the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship. This finish earned him his largest check ever, and his highest finish on the TOUR. He also had a solid finish at the U.S. Open, finishing tied at fourth and earning a spot in the 2018 Masters Tournament and a return trip to the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Before this finish, his top-30 finish at the 2015 U.S. Open was the only time he’d advanced to the weekend at a Major championship. In January, Fleetwood won his second European Tour event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, by one stroke over Dustin Johnson and Pablo Larrazåbal after a final round 67. A few months later, he was runner-up in the WGC-Mexico Championship, a shot behind Dustin Johnson, but in July was victorious again at the Open de France, beating Peter Uihlein by a stroke after a bogey-free final round 66. Fleetwood is now finishing his seventh professional season and is due for his first PGA TOUR win.

ickie Fowler, golf’s favorite orange-clad Cowboy, is back on his horse. The flamboyant former Oklahoma State University Cowboys All-American golfer started the 2016-17 season claiming a victory at The Honda Classic- his first since his 2015 playoff victory at TPC Boston. The prodigious Puma-wearing golfer, who turns 29 this December, began the final round of The Honda Classic with a four-stroke lead. Through a windy day and stubborn tee shots, Fowler’s accurate driving helped him clinch the win. His fourth career PGA TOUR title marked the first of five 54-hole leads he converted to victory. With his fifth place finish at the PGA Championship, just three strokes behind champion Justin Thomas, he continued on his high horse to be a topfive machine in Major championships. Later in the year at the BMW Championship, Fowler recorded a new career-best with six consecutive birdies in the first round. The fashionably bold golfer tied second at 4-under 67, his second best finish of the season.

As he progressed as a golfer, Hoffman won the California State High School Championship two years in a row, becoming the first two-time winner. Since turning professional in 2000, Hoffman has clinched four PGA TOUR victories and finished this season with seven top-10 finishes. At this year’s RBC Canadian Open, Hoffman held the 54-hole lead and colead for the fourth time in his PGA TOUR career. Despite a final-round 68 for a 21-under 267 total, he lost on the first hole of sudden death playoff to defending champion Jhonattan Vegas. He tied second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Fla., followed by another top-5 finish at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. Regardless of where Hoffman is playing, he still shows support to the organization that helped him evolve as a golfer. Shortly after, he claimed his second and third consecutive titles and became the first player to win all four World Golf Championships titles. While having to withdraw from the Masters due to a back injury, that didn’t stop Johnson from earning his fourth victory of the 2016-17 season at THE NORTHERN TRUST at Glen Oaks Club in New York where he battled it out with Jordan Spieth before eventually tying at 13-under 267. After a 341-yard tee shot on the playoff hole, Johnson triumphed with an outstanding shot from 95 yards to inside four feet. outh Florida native, Brooks Koepka and part of golf’s rising class of 20-somethings, returns to Albany and the Hero World Challenge after recording a strong year, winning the 2017 U.S. Open.

Koepka topped his nearest pursuers by four strokes at the U.S. Open. He was the only player to shoot under-par all four rounds, and his total score of 16-under matched Rory McIlroy’s 2011 U.S. Open record. This marked his first Major championship and second PGA TOUR title. With that victory, Koepka leaped to the top spot in the latest 2018 U.S. Ryder Cup standings. He noted his first true test of pressure was at the Ryder Cup in 2016, which many believe may have led him to withstand the pressure and take home the trophy at the U.S. Open. For the first time in a team format, Koepka and his brother, Chase, joined forces for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The brothers shot a solid 3-under 69 opening day with five birdies on their closing nine securing a top-five finish. This earned his brother a start in the field at the Wells Fargo Championship, following in his older brother’s footsteps. With an exciting 2016-17 season, Koepka is eager to better last year’s Hero World Challenge finish, where he shot 18-under 270 tying Jimmy Walker at 13th place.

he golfer with the cherubic smile has a lot of reasons to be cheerful these days. How else can you describe a 2016-17 season highlighted by seven top-10 finishes in 24 PGA TOUR events? Not to mention the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and a second place finish at the Open Championship. Playing in the final pairing with Open Championship winner Jordan Spieth for the final two rounds, Kuchar certainly put up a fight with weekend rounds of 66-69 but still finished three strokes behind. This marked the 10th runner-up finish of his PGA TOUR career and second top-5 showing in a Major this season. “As tough as it is to be this close and finish second, I am sure that it will lead to me continuing to work hard, and push me harder to try to finish one place better,” Kuchar quoted over the heart-breaking loss. “I think things like these continue to push people. And I know that’s what it will do to me.” Kuchar finished at 5-under 283 tying Thomas Pieters for fourth place at the 2017 Masters Tournament. His most impressive highlight was an ace at the 16th hole in the final round, which was his fourth ace on the PGA TOUR. The hardworking, fan favorite has a future to smile about indeed.

His maturity showed at this year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open and World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, where Matsuyama finished first at both events, becoming the first player from Japan to ever win the Bridgestone Invitational. rancesco Molinari is a two-time Ryder Cup winner and a multiple TOUR champion, and is known by most as one of the best Italian golfers.

Molinari claimed his best Major finish at the PGA Championship this season. He was in a five-way share of the lead with three holes to play, and in the final round, Molinari holed an incredible 27-foot putt from off the green for birdie on the par-5 15th hole. Unfortunately, late birdies resulted in a tie with Patrick Reed at second place. Even though it was a bittersweet ending, some believe it was a major breakthrough for Molinari. While he is a four-time European Tour winner, he hasn’t yet taken home any PGA TOUR victories. In 2017, Molinari has consistently placed better than his previous season. Along with his second place finish at the PGA Championship, he tied fourth at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and tied sixth at THE PLAYERS Championship, considered the TOUR’s fifth Major. This year he has earned three out of his four professional career top-10 finishes. While he currently holds no PGA TOUR victories, he does have 10 international victories around his belt. At 34, Noren won four times in the European Tour last year to take a giant leap from 122nd in the world during the 2015 season to No. 9 at the end of 2016. Noren won the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship with a final round of 10-under 62. He entered the tournament seven shots off the lead, but with eight birdies into his first 16 holes he was tied for the lead before producing an eagle at Wentworth Club’s final hole. Following his 2016 victories at the Scottish Open, European Masters, British Masters and Netbank Challenge, Noren was a quarter finalist in the World Match Play Championship. After his realization, he could let go and play his best. This unrecognized top-10 player might be catching everyone’s eye by 2018.

Although Rose had a heartbreaking loss at the 2017 Masters, it was an epic duel between he and Sergio Garcia. After a back and forth final round, Garcia holed a birdie on the first playoff hole to defeat Rose. This marked the second time he finished second at the Masters. Both Rose and Garcia were the only two players that avoided an over-par score that week. “A Major championship year is a career year when you win one. I might have the opportunity to win a couple more yet, so I’m not even willing to look back at this with any sort of regret until the season is done, and then we can reevaluate and assess actually what it meant,” Rose noted to Golfworld. fter his historic 2014-15 season - when Jordan Spieth made a heroic run at the Grand Slam by becoming the sixth player to claim both the Masters and U.S. Open in the same year, and finishing as runner-up at the PGA Championship – expectations had never been higher. This season was evident the golf super hero isn’t slowing down. Making his 100th professional PGA TOUR start, Spieth finished 19-under 268 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for a four-stroke victory over Kelly Kraft, becoming the second youngest winner at the event. In his first start in the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands, Spieth opened with a 63 and went on to hold the solo lead after every round before winning in a playoff with Daniel Berger. That victory joined Spieth and Tiger Woods as the only players with 10 PGA TOUR wins by the age of 24. Later in the season, Spieth came out on top to collect his third Major title at the 146th Open Championship. After this win, he became the second player after Jack Nicklaus to win three of golf ’s four Majors before the age of 24. Although he wasn’t able to win the fourth and final leg of the career Grand Slam, there is no doubt the incredible young golfer is going to continue adding more victories to his already impressive résumé.

or more than 40 years, Tavistock Group has operated by the single credo espoused by its visionary founder, Joe Lewis- "We strive for excellence in everything we do."

Consistently demonstrating its performance attributes – along with forward-thinking prowess across a vast and varied investment landscape is what truly distinguishes Tavistock Group.

Such unwavering commitment explains the sustained success of the international private investment organization, based in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas with offices around the world. Today, Tavistock Group’s portfolio is diverse and significant in scale, comprising investments in more than 200 companies operating in 10 countries.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

With private capital, Tavistock Group executes with extraordinary agility, acting decisively and discreetly with investments. That competitive advantage manifests in empowered management focused on building value. Speed, f lexibility and creativity are the cornerstones of operation, which enable the firm to excel in a variety of business sectors: real estate, hospitality, restaurants, sports, energy, retail, biotechnology, agriculture and finance.

Redefining sports and entertainment Tavistock Group’s growing inf luence in the sports business isn’t limited to the U.S. It spans both sides of the Atlantic. Tottenham Hotspur, a leading English Premier League soccer team whose principal shareholder is Lewis, Tavistock Group’s chairman, is due to complete its new, worldclass stadium next year. The venue is set to redefine the premium experience within sports and entertainment, as well as delivering a new landmark for London. The spectacle on show at the 61,000+ stadium, the largest of any soccer club in England’s capital, will be like no other on the planet with it set to bring the world’s two biggest

sports – English Premier League soccer and the National Football League (NFL) – together under one roof. An innovative, retractable grass soccer field will make way for an artificial grass surface, capable of hosting a minimum of two regular season NFL games a year as part of Tottenham Hotspur’s 10-year agreement with the League – as well as a host of other major events including music concerts. Its range of premium packages went on sale earlier this year with stunning images of the stadium’s unique lounges and suites, giving fans a glimpse of the Club’s exciting future. By taking up one of the game-changing premium packages on offer, fans can guarantee a seat and customize their experience, from Michelin-star dining, fine wines selected by a sommelier and of course, panoramic views of the iconic stadium.

The creation of European architecture firm OOAK Architects, the modular block design combines 25 private residences spanning from 2,400 square feet to more than 9,300 square feet. “Our vision when creating Tetris was to create a variety of bespoke apartments, each with different qualities and experiences that would come together in one building,” said Marie Kojzar, partner of OOAK. “Tetris features a number of two-level ‘duplex’ apartments which feature double-height space, with 26-foot ceilings – allowing the resident to truly take advantage of the exquisite marina views.” Defined by an informal elegance, this new way of life for Albany residents is quickly gaining similarities to Monaco and redefining modern-day island living. n

One of the most captivating features of Azura may be its Sky Lounge rooftop terrace, where panoramic views abound across the marina to the horizon. “With fitted daybeds, an outdoor bar and jacuzzi, Azura’s sky lounge lends an air of the super-yacht lifestyle,” said Kemp. “As a developer of this ultra-modern, luxury property, we wanted to capture the glamour and essence of The Bahamas as depicted in James Bond films and through the ‘jet set’ lens of the 1950s and 60s,” said Rohit Chadha, managing director at Luxlo. “It’s one of the highest compliments for Albany to have a premier luxury developer like Luxlo come and create a marina residence here,” said Christopher Anand, managing partner of Albany. Founded on a vision to create the most exquisite homes in the most sought after locations, Luxlo has been specializing in the design and development of luxury residences since 2007. Most recently, the company sold the final apartment in its hyper-prime residential project, 77 Mayfair in downtown London for over $9,000 (USD) per sq. ft., gaining international attention as one of the highest-ever residential sales. “Albany is a world-class, luxury resort community with an unrivalled collection of five-star services and amenities,” said Chadha. “The attraction Luxlo had to develop homes at Albany was obvious and immediate.” n

Designed in partnership with renowned architects and acoustic designers, The Sanctuary Recording Studio merges cutting-edge equipment and technology with a renowned management team, creating a haven for musicians - from those topping the charts to those aspiring to do the same.

Bjarke Ingels Groups (BIG), led by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, was tasked to design a space where musicians can let creativity f low. A space where they are inspired to do their best work. Working alongside UK-based acoustic and technical design firm White Mark Ltd., Ingels designed the studio to complement the residential buildings set just beyond it Honeycomb and CUBE - both also designed by Ingels’ firm. Managed by longtime music industry icons Ann Mincieli of New York-based Jungle City Studios and Charles Goldstuck, chairman and chief executive officer of TouchTunes Interactive Network and former president of the Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), a division of Sony Music Entertainment, The Sanctuary is a new offering for artists to work while also enjoying the world-class amenities, privacy and resort-style luxury of Albany. CREATING TOMORROW’S LEADERS A

lbany has been created to be a community where people can thrive, and now the resort community is broadening its vision with the establishment of the Bahamas Youth Foundation, dedicated to the enrichment, education and enhancement of young people from The Bahamas and around the world who matriculate in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The Foundation awards scholarships to gifted youth who are talented in music, the arts, athletics or academics to study and grow in The Bahamas. The support from the Foundation will foster the new assets including the 25-acre Windsor High School at Albany, the Albany Sports Academies featuring golf led by Mitchell Spearman, tennis led by Lleyton Hewitt, and soccer in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and The Sanctuary, a recording studio overlooking Albany Marina. “The Bahamas Youth Foundation and the generous donation from Albany is a dream come true for me professionally,” stated Lisa McCartney, founder and director of Windsor International Schools. “Anything that helps us keep, nurture and challenge the very best and brightest from this country across a wide range of interests is good for The Commonwealth and its future.” The Bahamas Youth Foundation will ear-

We want Windsor High School, the Albany Sports Academies, and The Sanctuary music studio to be a source of pride for The Bahamas and a perpetual place of opportunity and growth for youth, especially young Baha-
