WELCOME TO THE

HERO WORLD CHALLENGE FROM PAWAN MUNJAL

The 2016 Hero World Challenge is here and it is time to golf again. It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to my favorite golf event in the world, the Hero World Challenge. This marks the third edition of our partnership and the second year at the gorgeous Albany in The Bahamas, and this year promises to be as exciting as the previous years. I extend a “Hero’s Welcome” to the event host and my friend, Tiger Woods, and I congratulate the Tiger Woods Foundation and Tavistock Group on yet again hosting the strongest invitational field in golf.

Tiger remains an enduring global icon for all, having inspired millions of youngsters to pursue their dreams. He continues to nurture and support them through the college-access programs and local charity initiatives of the Tiger Woods Foundation, and we are indeed proud to have him as the Global Corporate Partner of Hero MotoCorp. Hero Motocorp has remained the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer for the past 15 consecutive years, and in recent years, has expanded its presence to over 33 countries across Asia, Africa, Central and South America. As a long-standing partner of various world bodies, including the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and International Cricket Council (ICC), along with local associations, Hero MotoCorp has supported the growth of multiple sports across the globe. Hero’s partnership with this marquee event is a natural extension of the brand’s characteristic association with various sport disciplines. As many of you experienced last year, the Hero World Challenge is all about golf – and a little more! It also gives you a flavor of India in the Caribbean. I can assure you, a lot of excitement is in store for everyone at the 2016 Hero World Challenge. I am personally looking forward to a week of top-quality golf and wish all the players the very best of luck. Thank you for being part of this unique celebration of golf. Enjoy the tournament! CELEBR ATING 20 YEARS of Breakthrough Student Transformations BY SCOTT KAUFFMAN

After turning professional in 1996, Tiger Woods changed the face of golf by winning a near-record 14 major championships and 79 PGA TOUR victories, second only to Sam Snead. Despite his game-changing successes, Woods never rested on his golfing laurels. Now, the 41-year-old Albany co-founder and resident-member is taking that same push-the-limits attitude to his namesake non-profit foundation. Indeed, despite influencing nearly 150,000 children through the organization’s TGR Learning Labs and STEM-focused curriculum, Woods is poised to further elevate his charitable efforts and change the fortunes of future generations like never before. YEAR IN REVIEW When 2014 Hero World Challenge winner Jordan Spieth saw Albany for the first time, he predicted long-ball hitter Bubba Watson would love its links-style layout because the course seems so open from the tees. On the third day of last year’s tournament, Spieth couldn’t have been more prescient with his statement. With the championship course as still as a low tide, Watson tamed the par-72, 7,400-yard layout when he birdied seven holes and holed out a 7-iron from about 168 yards on No. 4 for eagle. His stellar round of 9-under 63 matched the course record – set by Englishmen Justin Rose and Paul Casey just minutes earlier – and earned Watson a two-shot lead going into the final round. Staked to a two-shot cushion, Watson made four more birdies in seven holes on the final day and was never seriously challenged from that point forward – coasting to a 6-under 66 and a three-shot victory over Patrick Reed. The 2015 Hero World Challenge was the first to be held on the Ernie Els-designed course at Albany, and this year’s field looks forward to the challenge ahead on this gem in The Bahamas.

While golf has always been the athletic focus of Fowler’s life, he’s also found himself consistently drawn to motorcross, saying the sport made him “a bit fearless on the course.” He doesn’t ride as much as he used to, or attempt the jumps he used to take in stride, but Fowler still counts himself as a fairly talented motorcross rider and credits his success on that course to his father, Rod.

FOWLER Rickie Fowler, golf’s favorite orange-clad Cowboy, is back on his horse. The flamboyant former Oklahoma State University Cowboys All-American golfer started the 2015-16 season with a strong start, closing with a 8-under 64 last December to finish solo third at last year’s Hero World Challenge. Then, the prodigious Puma-wearing golfer, who turns 28 next week, started the new year with a victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, fending off final-round challenges from Thomas Pieters, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson, marking his second European Tour title. Two weeks later at the PGA TOUR’s Waste Management Phoenix Open, Fowler was seemingly rolling to another big victory after holding a 54-hole lead. But the game of golf can be cruel and Fowler struggled as he squandered a two-shot lead with two holes to play and faltered in a playoff. Later in the season, Fowler also held a 54-hole lead at the Wells Fargo Championship and The Barclays, but struggled to close, which prevented him from qualifying outright for the Ryder Cup team on points. Nonetheless, the Ryder Cup Task Force member, a group designed to help turn around America’s fortunes in the biennial event, was selected by U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III as one of the team’s three captain’s picks. So, regardless of how you score it, being a member of the U.S. Olympic team and the Ryder Cup team is quite a way to finish any year.

GRILLO After turning pro at 19, Emiliano Grillo followed the typical path of other top Argentine golfers, making his way onto the European Tour in 2011 where he enjoyed a measure of success, including his first victory in his native homeland in 2014. His success generated enough attention that he secured a sponsor’s exemption into the PGA TOUR’s 2015 Puerto Rico Open – where four solid rounds put him in a five-way playoff, which he lost to Alex Cejka. After returning to Europe for most of 2015, however, Grillo decided to forge a new path onto the PGA TOUR by playing the remaining Web.com schedule. The move paid off as Grillo captured the seasonending Web.com Tour Championship by shooting four rounds in the sixties and beating Chez Reavie by one stroke. As if earning his PGA TOUR card wasn’t enough excitement, Grillo did something no other golfer has ever done on the Tour by winning the season-opening Frys.com Open in California in a playoff against Kevin Na. Indeed, no one has ever won their way onto the PGA TOUR one week and then clinched the opening event on the PGA TOUR schedule two weeks later. Proof that Grillo’s rise to stardom is no fluke, he closed out the year as one of two rookies to advance to the FedExCup Playoffs finale, the TOUR Championship, where he finished tied for 10th and No. 11 in the FedExCup standings.

HOLMES J.B. Holmes arrives at Albany having had one of his more remarkable PGA TOUR seasons with four top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-five performances at the Masters and Open Championship. Golf success notwithstanding, what is equally as special about the current season was Holmes’ honor as the recipient of the Ben Hogan Award. Presented by the Golf Writers Association of America, the annual award is given out as recognition for someone staying active in golf despite a physical handicap. In the case of Holmes, it’s a reminder of the serious vertigo-like symptoms that cut short his 2011 season. After being diagnosed with structural defects in the cerebellum, the Kentucky native underwent brain surgery at Johns Hopkins University to repair Chiari malformations. Five years later, Holmes is stronger than ever, starting with this year’s Masters. Making his third start, Holmes overcame three opening rounds in the 70s with a final-round, 4-under 68 to claim a tie for fourth with Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey. He overcame three straight bogeys on holes 2-4 on Sunday with seven birdies en route to his best finish on the Tour since a tie for fourth at the 2015 BMW Championship. After placing tied for fourth at the Memorial with a 13-under 275, Holmes followed up a month later with one of his strongest showings at the Open Championship where he advanced to the weekend for just the third time in eight starts. Holmes shot 6-under 278 at Royal Troon and finished in third place, 11 strokes behind Phil Mickelson.

JOHNSON After starting his season in Shanghai at the World Golf ChampionshipsHSBC Champions, the Carolina Bomber finally busted through with his first major championship at this year’s 116th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club (Pa.), highlighted by a confounding rules infraction that triggered a wave of discussion during the final round. Johnson entered the final round trailing 54-hole leader Shane Lowry by two strokes before firing a final-round 1-under 69 – despite the controversial one-stroke penalty for his ball moving on the par-4 5th green. He followed up with another big win in his next start at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational posting back-to-back victories for the first time in his career. Johnson shot consecutive weekend rounds of 66 to rally from three strokes behind at the start of final round for his third career World Golf Championships victory. By winning the BMW Championship on September 12, Johnson joined Hero World Challenge host Tiger Woods as the only players to win a major, WGC and FedExCup playoff event in the same season. Woods did it in 2007. Johnson has now won at least one tournament in each of his first nine seasons on the PGA TOUR (the TOUR’s current best streak). By comparison, Woods won in his first 14 seasons, from1996 through 2009.

JOHNSON In nearly 10 years since Zach Johnson defeated Tiger Woods, Retief Goosen and Rory Sabbatini by two shots after closing with a 3-under 69 in cold and windy conditions at Augusta National, Johnson won the 2015 Open Championship and nine other PGA TOUR events to move into No. 11 all-time on the career money list. And the 2016 season was another strong year for the 2003 Web.com Tour graduate as he posted five more top-10 finishes and made the Ryder Cup for the fifth time. Johnson’s best finish was fifth place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, when he played the Bay Hill venue at 12-under 276. Playing at Palmer’s winter home and private club for the 13th consecutive year, Johnson finished eagle-birdie-par for a final-round 68 to finish five strokes behind champion Jason Day. Another memorable tournament was the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, where his 2-over 282 was good enough to tie for eighth place. These stronger performances marked his first top-10 in 13 U.S. Open starts and snapped a streak of missed cuts at the previous two majors. In the same month, this proud Iowa native was inducted into the Iowa Golf Hall of Fame. A nice tribute to this man who represents the game so well.

KNOX In his 10th year as a touring professional, Scottish golfer Russell Knox burst onto the PGA TOUR scene with two victories and two runner-up finishes in the 2015-16 season, more than doubling his career earnings. The son of an American father and Scottish mother, Knox’s adopted hometown is Jacksonville, Fla., where he played college golf. Fittingly, his growing Florida roots are not far from PGA TOUR headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, where Knox is starting to establish another new “home” on top of the Tour’s weekly leaderboards. Knox picked up his maiden Tour victory as an alternate in the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions in Shanghai in November of 2015, beating a field that included Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler. Knox carded a 5-under 67 in the first round and shared the 54-hole lead with Kevin Kisner. Knox shot a final-round 68 and posted 20-under 268 for a two-stroke victory. Aside from Jeff Maggert, Knox became the only other player in history to win his first World Golf Championships title while playing for the first time in this four-tournament series. A week later, Knox showed it was no fluke when he lost in a playoff at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in his attempt to become the first player to win his first two victories in back-to-back starts since Camilo Villegas at the 2008 BMW Championship and Tour Championship by Coca-Cola. Knox needed a par on the 72nd hole to win outright in the unscheduled Monday finish, but a bogey forced the tournament to a playoff with Jason Bohn and eventual-champion Graeme McDowell all tied at 18-under 266.

KOEPKA South Florida native Brooks Koepka and part of golf’s rising class of 20-somethings, returns to Albany and the Hero World Challenge after recording a strong PGA TOUR season with four top-five finishes including a pair of runner-ups at the AT&T Byron Nelson and FedEx St. Jude Classic. At the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas, Koepka shot 15-under 266 to set up his first playoff on the Tour against Sergio Garcia. Unfortunately, Koepka’s double-bogey was no competition for Garcia’s par. Koepka, a two-time Atlantic Coast Golfer of the Year at Florida State University, actually entered the final round with a two-stroke lead over Jordan Spieth (marking his first-ever final-round PGA TOUR lead), but his 1-over 71 opened the door to Garcia’s comeback win. Koepka got his second consecutive runner-up finish in his next start at the St. Jude Classic, highlighted by a second-round, bogey-free 65. Koepka’s 10-under 270 for the tournament, three strokes behind winner Daniel Berger, was Koepka’s second consecutive near victory at TPC Southwind. He placed tied for third the previous year. After qualifying for the U.S. Open as an amateur in 2012 and missing the cut at 77-77, Koepka elected to turn pro and joined the European Challenge Tour where he quickly made a name for himself with two top-10 finishes before his breakthrough win at the Challenge de Catalunya, overtaking Alessandro Tadini by three shots with a final-round 65. This week, Koepka is eager to better his inaugural Hero World Challenge last year, when he shot 18-under 270 for a solo seventh-place finish and best performance among the three players making their Hero World Challenge debuts.

KUCHAR The golfer with the “life is good and I’m having fun” smile has a lot of reasons to be cheerful these days. How else can you describe a 2015-16 season highlighted by 10 top-10 finishes in 25 PGA TOUR events, tied for third most with Jason Day, and nearly $3.7 million in prize money? Not to mention a memorable final-round comeback in this year’s 2016 Rio Olympics, when he matched the course-record with an 8-under 63 to capture the bronze medal with a 13-under 271. Kuchar began Sunday’s Olympic final round at five under, seven shots behind leader and eventual gold medalist Justin Rose and four strokes out of third. However, after opening with a string of ho-hum pars, Kuchar caught fire on holes five through 10, playing them at six under, including an eagle putt on the par-5 10th. The 7-time PGA TOUR winner continued to play aggressively coming in, making birdie on 15 and driving the green at the par-4 16th. But a threeputt par stalled his run at the leaders. On the final par-5 18th, staring at sidewinding final birdie putt for a course-record 62, Kuchar left his ball one revolution short of the cup. Nevertheless, Kuchar finished 13 under, one shot behind silver medalist Henrik Stenson and three behind Rose. Had Kuchar made one more putt, he and Stenson would’ve had a playoff for silver. Just playing in the Olympics was a thrill itself. Add a 2016 Ryder Cup team championship, and a fan favorite “Kuch” has a lot to smile about indeed.

MATSUYAMA In a golf-crazed country like Japan, fans have been yearning for years to find the next great Isao Aoki, the Hall of Fame golfer who finished second to Jack Nicklaus in the 1980 U.S. Open. Hideki Matsuyama might be that man. Indeed, Matsuyama might need a translator to conduct interviews but his golf game speaks volumes and needs no translation. With a breakout victory at the 2014 Memorial Tournament in his first full season on the PGA TOUR, an exciting playoff win at this year’s riveting Waste Management Phoenix Open and seven top-10 finishes overall, Matsuyama is making a strong statement that he can handle the pressure of being Japan’s next proud golf son. He is particularly comfortable on the big stage, cracking the top 10 at the U.S. Open and Open Championship as a 2013 rookie, becoming the youngest player to win the Memorial in 2014 at just over 22 years of age (beating Tiger Woods’ tournament record) and finishing fifth at last year’s Masters Tournament. Unlike fellow countryman and peer Ryo Ishikawa, who turned pro at 16 after becoming the youngest player to win on any of the major tours in the world when he captured the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup as a 15-year-old amateur, Matsuyama decided to remain in college and further mature physically and mentally. That maturity showed at this year’s Phoenix Open, when Matsuyama sank a clutch birdie putt on the 72nd hole to force a playoff victory over Rickie Fowler.

OOSTHUIZEN Born in a small country village in South Africa, Louis Oosthuizen grew up on a modest farm in a tennis-playing family. But it was golf that ultimately won his heart. At the age of nine, he decided golf was his future, often spending his time at nearby Mossel Bay Golf Club. Excelling as an amateur player on provincial and national levels, Oosthuizen caught the eye of Ernie Els, and through the generous support of Els and the Fancourt Foundation from 2000-2002, his game took off after shooting a record 15-under 57 at Mossell Bay in 2002. Of course, Oosthuizen never looked back from there, eventually winning his first European Tour event in March 2010 (the Open de Golf de Andalucia) and the 139th Open Championship at the Old Course at St. Andrews that summer. At St. Andrews, the Ernie Els Foundation graduate lapped the field and beat Lee Westwood by seven strokes at 16-under 272 – one week after his native South Africa concluded a wildly popular World Cup. Today, Oosthuizen continues to pay his golf success forward after reaching the finals of this year’s World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play at Austin (Tex.) Country Club where he lost to fellow 2015 Presidents Cup teammate Jason Day, 5 and 4. “My dad is a farmer, and in the early years things weren’t great on the farm,” Oosthuizen says of his South African roots and ties to Albany co-founder and golf course designer Ernie Els. “When I was 17, I managed to become a member of Ernie’s Foundation in South Africa and it was unbelievable what he did for me.” Golfers helping other golfers. It is a beautiful game.

REED Patrick Reed is proud to be a Texan and as patriotic a Ryder Cup player as they come. The 26-year-old led Team USA in singles with a 1-up win over Rory McIlroy, playing one of the biggest roles in helping the United States to a victory over Europe at the 41st Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota. Nobody played to the crowd more than Reed. His pairing with Jordan Spieth led to a win that tied the American record of 5 points set by Gardner Dickinson and Arnold Palmer in 1967, and his memorable match-up against McIlroy will forever go down in the books as one of the most exciting of all time. After trading birdies and sinking putts, the match came down to the 18th hole where Reed sealed the deal. Playing to a record gallery of 55,000 in a stellar display of energy and sportsmanship, Reed exchanged fist pumps and high-fives with McIlroy, who had never lost in Ryder Cup singles. The Hazeltine fans cheered his name, and this warrior marched with enough pride and played with tenacity for the entire country. The 2015-16 season is yet another superlative year for the PGA TOUR member, highlighted by finishing tied for 11th at the 2016 Rio Olympics and winning The Barclays at Bethpage Black by one stroke for his first career FedExCup Playoffs win. The victory was Reed’s 11th top-10 finish in 27 starts this year, second only to Dustin Johnson, marked his fifth TOUR title at age 26, joining Spieth (21) and McIlroy (23) as the youngest winners with five TOUR titles in the last 10 years.

ROSE Justin Rose has been dealing with a back injury since early spring but that didn’t prevent him from capturing an exhilarating gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. Representing Great Britain, the proud Englishman went into the 72nd hole tied with fellow Ryder Cup teammate Henrik Stenson at 15-under par as they stepped onto the 18th green at the Olympic Golf Course. However, after Rose’s third shot, an extraordinary pitch from 38 yards that landed within three feet of the pin, it was Stenson who blinked first. Stenson three‑putted from 20 feet to give Rose two shots at winning the first Olympic gold medal since George Lyon of Canada won the competition at Glen Echo Country Club at the St. Louis Olympics in 1904. Of course, the enthusiastic Olympian only needed one putt to beat Stenson and finish with a fist-pumping five-under 67 for his second “major” golf championship. Rose’s first major was the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club, when he bested Jason Day and Phil Mickelson by two strokes en route to a 1-over 281 at the historic par-70 layout, becoming the first Englishman to win the U.S. Open since Tony Jacklin in 1970. “It’s a dream come true,” Rose was quoted as saying about the Olympic title, after adorning himself in the Union Jack. “I’ve been thinking about Rio for a long, long time. I’ve been dreaming about coming here for a few years now.” Now, the Albany resident-member can put a nice exclamation on the year by winning the Hero World Challenge at his home course.

Buoyed by an offseason triumph at the Franklin Templeton Shootout last December with partner Jason Dufner, where the pair shot 11-under 61 in the final round, Snedeker went to the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Maui’s Kapalua resort and finished tied for third, nine strokes behind runaway champ Jordan Spieth. Despite battling a head cold, it was Snedeker’s second top-three finish in his last three starts at the Maui event. Feeling much better as the Nashville native island hopped over to Hawaii’s main island of Oahu for the Sony Open, Snedeker shot an opening-round 7-under 63, then held solo possession of the secondround lead at 12-under 128. Snedeker entered the final round tied for the lead with Zac Blair before a 4-under 66 led to an eventual playoff loss on the second hole to Fabian Gomez. Undettered by the near misses, Snedeker returned to the mainland and promptly captured his eighth career PGA TOUR victory at Torrey Pines.

SPIETH After his historic 2014-2015 season, when Jordan Spieth made a heroic run at the Grand Slam by becoming the sixth player to claim both the Masters and U.S. Open in the same year and finishing runner-up at the PGA Championship, expectations have never been higher for this golf super hero. What we all learned is Spieth is indeed human, after all. At least that was evident during his title defense at this year’s Masters Tournament, when the third-round leader lost a five-shot lead on the back nine at Augusta National on Sunday after making quadruple-bogey on the par-3 12th hole. He ended the week sharing second place with Lee Westwood, three strokes behind champion Danny Willett. Nevertheless, Spieth still had two other PGA TOUR victories this year heading into September’s official home stretch, giving him one more career PGA TOUR win than Tiger Woods had before his 23rd birthday. Obviously, it’s not a matter of if, but when, Spieth will win again. Perhaps a dose of Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge is just what Spieth needs to get his golf game revving up once again. Remember, Spieth blew away the 2014 Hero World Challenge field at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, shooting a final-round 66 to beat Henrik Stenson by 10 strokes. And we all know what happened soon after that event. Spieth was catapulted to his heroic season with five victories, including the TOUR Championship, and a single-season PGA TOUR-record $12,030,465 in prize money. It could all start here again for Spieth.

STENSON Henrik Stenson enters the Hero World Challenge a bit banged up, evident by the back therapy he received by his trainer at the 13th tee during the final round of the 2016 Olympics. Stenson’s physical setbacks actually started last December when he had offseason surgery to repair the meniscus in his right knee. Later in the season, Stenson withdrew from the U.S. Open due to neck and knee issues. Nevertheless, Stenson’s banged up body certainly did not get in the way of his first-ever major title at the 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon. Indeed, when Stenson’s putt gently toppled into the cup on the final hole of the British Open, there was more significance to the closing 63 that helped him become the first male Swedish player to win a major title. Even more remarkable was his 20-under-par 264 overall performance, a major championship record for lowest aggregate score and one that tied Jason Day’s record for the lowest winning score relative to par in a major. Then, the Swede made an admirable run at Olympic golf history when he limped to the 72nd hole tied at 15-under with fellow Albany residentmember Justin Rose. But Stenson bogeyed the final hole, while Rose made birdie and wound up with the silver medal. Many feel his play and their duel at Rio have secured golf’s future in the modern Olympic games.

WALKER For an unassuming man who enjoys watching celestial bodies and stars, Jimmy Walker is quietly becoming a star himself. Indeed, after beating Jason Day by one stroke at the PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club and hoisting the Wanamaker Trophy, Walker made it well known he is no fleeting star. To be sure, the soft-spoken Oklahoman has been a proven winner on the TOUR, breaking out with five victories over an eight-start span on the PGA TOUR from 2013-15. But it wasn’t until the final major of the year at stormy Springfield, N.J., when Walker shut down Day with a 3-underpar 67 and proved he’s a star bound to burn bright for years to come. Day was trying to win his second straight PGA Championship and eagled the final hole to put the heat on Walker, but Walker answered with his own dramatic birdie putt on the 17th hole after hearing the thunderous applause for Day. Then, Walker sealed the win with a par putt at 18. Walker and Day were actually among a number of golfers who had to play 36 holes Sunday because the storms prevented players from getting on the course Saturday. The extra pressure didn’t affect the highly popular Walker, however, as he led the tournament field from start to finish and became the fifth straight first-timer to win a major.

WATSON The PGA TOUR’s favorite fun-loving lefty continues to soar as a golfer and we’re not talking about Bubba’s new BW-Air jetpack that can reportedly fly at speeds of 46 miles per hour and altitudes of 3,000 feet. While some might scoff at the notion of this new golf gimmick, they’re not laughing at Watson’s game. The two-time Masters winner and defending Hero World Challenge champion had three top-10 finishes in the 2015-16 season, including the Genesis Open in February. To top it off, Watson represented the United States with great pride at the 2016 Olympic Games, finishing tied for eighth in the 60-man field. As for Watson’s high-flying golf game, the new 200-horsepower “BWAir” is golf’s first flying golf cart jetpack, which Watson passionately promoted and launched prior to the Olympics. “Golf is always looking to speed up play and that’s what the jetpack’s going to do,” he added. “The jetpack’s going to make the game faster and more fun.” And most importantly, Watson says, the ability to gain a different perspective on how to play the course as you soar above the layout to your next shot. “It’s almost an unfair advantage,” Watson says with a smile. “This is a game-changer.” So from hovercrafts to jetpacks (remember Watson’s space-ship-looking “BW1” Hover Cart concept), leave it up to the always-creative Watson to try and find one more way to master the game.

WOODS In early September, sports fans were treated to the best-sounding words in golf: Tiger Woods is back. After undergoing a second surgical procedure 15 months ago, it was anybody’s guess if and when Woods would return to competitive golf. But that all changed three months ago when Woods pleasantly surprised the sports world and announced his return to the game. Of course, the TGR LIVE-run Hero World Challenge at Albany benefiting the Tiger Woods Foundation, Tavistock Foundation and the Albany Scholars Program, was also on his playing checklist. As was his participation in the Tiger Woods Invitational charity event. Woods’ last competition on the TOUR was at the Wyndham Championship in 2015 when he shot a final-round, even-par 70 to finish tied for 10th. The 14-time major champion and winner of 79 TOUR events has spent his time off with his children, Sam and Charlie, and has focused on his golf course design, the 20th anniversary of the Tiger Woods Foundation and his book about the 1997 Masters Tournament. For golf fans around the world, Woods’ return to the golf course brings a new level of excitement and anticipation as he hits the links at this year’s Hero World Challenge.

this luxury community and setting became so attractive that residents and members began setting up more permanent roots and extending their island getaways. Thus, Adjmi was enlisted to design a place where Albany’s resident members could also tend to their work and commerce-related matters in a private and professional setting. When the Albany Financial Center opened its doors, it welcomed a selection of private banks, legal firms, insurance companies, accounting firms and trust companies to serve the growing community. Additionally, Albany residents and guests can now enjoy a number of new shops and places to have a quick drink or snack.
