master’s thesis residential building and kindergarten year

2013

place

Valladolid, Spain

This project develops a building of mixed use, residential apartments and a Kindergarten, on a corner lot in the center of Valladolid. The proposal of two parallel volumes breaks the street corner. The volumes are offset from each other seeking the highest incidence of direct light on them. The idea that the building is not an isolated entity but one element of the city takes importance in this project. It makes permeable the boundary of the solar breaking the alignment and opening the building into the urban space. This two vertical elements will be cut by the Kindergarten plane playgrounds, that work as connectors of the main volumes. The interstitial space between the two volumes is resolved under the concept of common space, and it is materialize in a translucent way.

student residence share and light year

2012

place

Ahmedabad, India

This project takes place in Ahmedabad, a crowed city of India. It is a student residence with an assembly hall and a library. The aim of this project is to resolve the accommodation in a complex urban structure and get their full integration. What needs to be taken into consideration is the fact that the weather conditions throughout the year are very extreme, so we focus on the section of traditional buildings in Ahmedabad, the “havelis, to provide good living conditions. The proposal is based on horizontal bands which organize the space according to their uses. Courtyards connect these bands and allow the ventilation. The constructive system and the furniture determine and organize the space which changes depending on the season and the needs of use

urban design “canal de castilla” year

2011

place

Palencia, Spain

The branch of “Canal de Castilla” is the centerpiece of our plan. Taking advantage of the natural wealth of the area, we continue the park mixing it with the edifications. Small and friendlier green spaces are created, and they incorporate the urban space to the park, eliminating the boundary between the park and the streets. At the end of every visual you find the park: it is an open and heartwarming view. Connect the sector to the city is one of the main approaches. Maintain the access roads to Palencia incorporating them into our path out traffic. Different gateways that connect both sides of the branch are created.

activity set year

2012

place

Valladolid, Spain

competition “Landscapes in transition.49th IFLA”

This student landscape architecture competition aims to achieve new ideas about how creative landscape design significantly transforms lives in a variety of ways. This proposal focuses on the empty spaces between the roads and the constructions (houses or industries) normally in the surroundings of the cities. With this simple and creative “activity set” we developed and improved the area, and it this becomes a focus and an attractive point. Due to the different elements and the modular construction the set can be adapted to different places. It´s made by different prefabricated elements that can be put in different ways.

artificial forest year

2012

place competition “Eurpoean Biennial of landscape arch.” Barcelona, Spain

06

This exercise is based in the elaboration of an artificial garden for the interior of an exhibition pavilion. This artificial garden is defined by a 30 meters diameter circle and the sequence of different opaque and translucent plane elements with cuts. Push out into…the forest? Forest in negative, where you don´t walk between the trees anymore, you walk through the silhouette of them. The tree is the main element of step. The different materials and it`s different positions create great feelings and views. Explore an artificial space that recreates real sensations. The filtered light, clear and more dense areas, loss of references The different cuts generate movement and a tour. However, the distance between the sheets aloud the visitant moves through them with freedom, feeling the space.

Travel and experience different cultures are my way of learning. Travelling is more than visit a city, more than be a tourist whit a return ticket fly.Travelling is getting lost and found yourself. During my years of university I have made different trips as an important part of my education, learning about different cultures, different ways of construction, different people. All the trips I have marked on the map have been made by car, by train or even hitchhiking.

Photography, the way I see the world. I am a creative person who enjoys photography, design and drawing.I photograph experiences, and always carry a sketchbook.
