Inside Pioneer: Annual Meeting 2016 Recap By Casey B. Rogers

This year’s Annual Member meeting proved to be a great success! Over 500 people gathered together on Saturday, October 15, 2016 to learn more about the cooperative and fellowship together. There was fun for all ages, beginning with live music by Magnum III and the presence of the Touchstone Energy Hot Air Balloon. Attendees could ride the hot air balloon, register for prizes and learn more about what the cooperative has to offer to its members. Booths were located

inside the Butler County Fairgrounds to highlight programs available to members, including: Safety City, Outage Texting, Youth Programs, the PEC Connect mobile application, Capital Credits, Customer Service Questions, Jackson Thornton, Co-ops Vote and Voter Registration, the Volunteer Fire Department program and Health Screens were made available by L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital. All members were eligible to win a variety of prizes from Kindle fires to garden supplies and anywhere in between. Members were

also given the chance to win ten $75 bill credits and the grand prize of " a year of free electricity" (based on the yearly residential average). Pictured below are the lucky winners of each along with a few other snapshots from our fun filled day at the fairgrounds on page 8. n Casey B.
