World Day against child labour is an initiative of International Labour Organisation to spread awareness about child labour. It is an effort to bring into society's attention the odd life situations children have faced as a result of child labour and the need to counter it. There are many NGOs working towards this cause directly and there are others like The Akshaya Patra Foundation whose primary cause of providing mid-day meal indirectly impacts and helps in countering this social issue
