Often the incidents that we encounter are not acceptable to us at all. For example, 'When everyone was misbehaving in the class, why was I the only one to get told off by the teacher? Why do I always fall sick during exams? Why do my parents always look after my younger brother and not me? I always put lots of effort into studying but why do I keep getting low marks?' etc. We end up asking the same question, 'why does it happen only to me?' And we never seem to have a satisfactory answer to this enquiry.
People often lead us to believe that it wasn't really our fault, but we had to suffer because of someone else's mistake. In this way we develop a habit of seeing faults in other people.
