UDI Siahaan (20), dihajar babak belur sama Satpam dengan beberapa mahasiswa yang ada di dalam Pos Satpam, bagian kepalanya berdarah saat diketahui membawa sepeda motor Satria Fu tanpa nomor polisi. Bersama Aulia (21) Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum UIR. Mereka tertangkap Jumat, (18/1) pagi di Fakultas Teknik. Dan langsung dibawa ke Pos Satpam UIR. Saat diminta untuk mengeluarkan STNK mereka tidak dapat menunjukkan. Indikasi pencurian makin terasa saat di dompet Rudi ditemukan kunci T. Ketika ditemukan memang motor tersebut tidak tertancap kunci. Taufik, Anggota Satpam mengatakan, saat ditanya milik siapa motor tersebut. Mereka menjawab bahwa motor ini punya seorang polisi bernama Rio Siregar. Tapi saat ditanya Rio Siregar tidak tahu mengenai motor tersebut. Untuk proses selanjutnya, mereka berdua digiring menuju Polsek Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. Awal mula tertangkap saat Aldison, Komandan Satpam UIR sedang perbaiki pagar besi di GOR Volley Indoor. Ia melihat dua pemuda mengendarai sepeda motor Satria Fu ngebut. Ia curiga saat motor yang dikendarai dua pemuda tersebut mogok. Lalu pura-pura mencolokkan kunci ke motor, motor pun kembali jalan. Aldison mendekat ke motor itu. Kecurigaannya bertambah saat ia tidak melihat kunci di motor itu. Kedua pemuda itu kemudian melaju ke Biro Administrasi Informasi dan Teknologi (BAIT). Aldison terus mengontrol. Ia pun memarkirkan motornya di samping motor Satria Fu yang masih kondisi hidup tersebut. Rudi pemuda yang membonceng masih tetap diatas motor. Aulia tegak di depan BAIT sambil menelepon. Melihat bet nama Satpam Aldison. Beberapa menit kemudian mereka kembali ngebut menuju Fakultas Teknik. Aldison lalu menelepon Taufik, anggota Satpam yang tugas di parkir Teknik. “Fik tolong lepas baju dinas, awasi orang tu, “ ujar Aldison melalui telpon. Sampai sekarang Aldison dan anggotanya masih menunggu untuk dijadikan saksi dalam kasus tersebut. Masih belum diketahu siapa pemilik motor tersebut. “Informasi Polsek Bukit Raya ternyata motor itu hasil curian dari Duri,” kata Aldison. Wawan
ETROLEUM Engineering Department (HMTP) organized a workshop at Convention Hall Soeman HS’s UIR, Wednesday (12/12). The themes of workshop is Petro Year End feat Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International President. The speaker is Dr Ganesh C Thakur. Ganesh is a president of SPE. The workshop was opened by Agus as leader of SPE Islamic University Of Riau (UIR). Agus said, he hopes this seminar to be a positive effect for students. “The seminar gives prospect for lecturers and students.” The seminar was also attended by Rektor UIR, Prof Detri Karya and Sugeng as Dean Engineering Faculty UIR. This seminar, Ganesh explained about SPE, including mission of SPE, containing “To collect, dissiminate, and exchange technical knowledge and to provide opportunities for professional to enchance their technical and professional competence”. Ganesh also explained about benefits of SPE, that is, helps companies get highest return on their human resources. The core of the seminar, Ganesh said, SPE will makes you increase knowledge and if you active in SPE, you have great opportunities. Abdul Rohim as Chairman of the committee said, this seminar is visits president of SPE each year, this is second visit President of SPE to UIR with a different president every year, because every year changed SPE president. This year the president of SPE visits to seven universities in Indonesia, and UIR is the six university which he is visited. Abdul hopes, students can take the positive side of the seminar and have motivated to join as SPE. Competition Making Multimedia Learning

ULTIMEDIA lecturer of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Islamic University of Riau (UIR) organized the competition making multimedia learning, Thursday (20/12). The competition was divided into two competitions, namely: competition makes learning media and competition makes blog media. The competition was opened by Zulafdhal MPd as a lecturer builder. Zulafdhal said, the competition is held to create Students FKIP creativity in teaching later, when opening competition. Lia as a race participant said, the competition is great for candidates teachers because, it can train candidates teachers make learning media as a teacher later. This competition was followed by English Department Student and Economic Accounting Department Student. In the competition, there are four judges who evolute. The competition was followed 10 group in the competition makes learning media and 10 person in the competition makes blog media. The competition begins at 9.00 am to 15.00 pm, the competition was going to well and announcement of the winners of the competition was also on that day. Jimmi
