Father, Son, Daughter Night

Virginia Beach Shrine Club By President Les Aker

V

irginia Beach Shrine Club has been busy. In April we had our Father, Son, Daughter Night and many of our members brought their sons and daughters as guests. As spring turns into summer we continue to be busy. We are working hard to get our Shrine Banners ready for MASA in the fall. That entails getting the banners together and preparing to Kick off our efforts to canvas the local merchants at the Beach front, Hilltop, Shore Drive, and Great Neck to determine how many of them will have our banners flying proudly on their store front to show their support during the convention. Due to conflicts with the Khedive Temple Rodeo in June, we had to move our meeting to 7 June. Please

feel free to come and join us on June 7, 2013, at 6:00 pm at the FOP on Bird Neck Rd, in Virginia Beach and bring your lovely lady. Also on the 7th, we will be presenting our Club Scholarship Winner with a $500.00 dollar donation for them to use towards their elected College expenses for the Fall session. For the Summer months of June thru August our Dress will be casual. In July, I will turn the gavel over to Jimmy Newby for a test run on First VP Night. In August it’s Pungo Night. We will have a special meal. We welcome guests and hope they have a good time and they consider becoming a member. Dinner is $12.00 per person and includes great appetizers during the social hour

and dinner with great desserts. Bring your lady to join our ladies for dinner. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you there. Yours in the Faith, Les Aker
