Titanium dioxide coatings were deposited by high velocity oxy-fuel spraying (HVOF) with the
use of agglomerated P25/20 nano-powder and different spraying parameters (e.g. fuel/flow ratio) to determine
their influence on the microstructure, crystalline structure and surface feature of the coatings. The
microstructure of as-sprayed TiO2 coatings was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM),
transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Surface features were investigated by
Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that the
fuel and oxygen flow ratio have an important influence on the microstructure, anatase content, surface chemical
state and surface feature of the TiO2 coatings
