Scrape Spring 2020 from ‘Architectural Design’
Library and Community center including leasable retail, a large greenspace, and sportscourt/ playscape. The building revives and strips away the intersecting historical uses of the site, tearing apart, yet partially reusing its most recent iteration - a parking deck. The Library itself is a rhythmic ode to the I.M. Pei projects that replaced the sites colonial structures, with a large circulation and interaction space torn through the center. The structure is just another iteration of architecture, scraping through the colonized site. Downtown, Providence, RI, USA
