Ordering? What does that mean? There are certain terms used in this portfolio, the following can assist customers in understanding their contractual arrangements with AIWW, especially in relation to the provision of separate freight services. UPC means number of individual units per carton. WS or Wholesale means the wholesale price of Goods and includes a freight component, calculated as a charge under a separate contract but excludes WET and GST. OP or On-Premise means product is only available for sale in cafes, restaurants, pubs and/or clubs and isn’t available to be sold in retails outlets such as liquor barns, drive through’s and/or retail outlets. LUC means landed unit cost and the basis of calculating the LUC is set out in the terms of trading. For the avoidance of doubt, the LUC is a global charge that includes separate contracts for Goods and the provision of freight, which is at the customer’s option. WET means Wine Equalisation Tax as defined and calculated under the tax law. GST means Goods and Services Tax as defined and calculated under the tax law. Freight means, subject to the terms of trading, the charge calculated under a separate contract, that the Customer has not declined and is for the delivery of Goods ex-warehouse to the customer’s specified address. The customer has the option to decline freight, in which case, no charge for freight will apply, and is accordingly deducted from the LUC. Goods means wine products and any other tangible products provided by the Company in the normal course of trade. Retention of Property means ownership of goods remaining with AIWW. Following full payment for the Goods, customers obtain good title to them provided any other conditions specified in the Terms and Conditions of Agreement (AIWW credit application or website for FULL trading terms) are satisfied. For the avoidance of doubt, the non-payment of freight will not affect title to Goods. AIWW means Australian Independent Wine Wholesalers.

BRUT CUVÉE The fruit for this sparkling is from SE Australia. There are subtle citrus and pear aromas followed by a palate that has an apple like zing to it. At the same time, there is toffee sweetness while finishing clean and dry.

Portfolio 2019/20

SAUVIGNON BLANC Exploding fruit, zesty and refreshing. Classic Marlborough characters of peach, melon, a hint of passionfruit, and a lively acid balance clean finish.

SHIRAZ Full with layers of ripe fruit flavours: mulberries, spicy blackberries and plums, are hallmarks of this Padthaway wine. Combines and balances with fine tannins to provide textural depth of flavour and length.

Brockenchack Eden Valley SA The property, a working vineyard for over a century, was then producing Riesling and Shiraz grapes, boasting what is thought to be some of the oldest Riesling vines in Australia, planted back in 1896, alongside Shiraz vines dating back to 1927. Following their first 2008 vintage of a tiny 37 dozen, ‘Jack Harrison’ Shiraz (just to see what hey had), their excitement only grew when the exceptional quality of the wine spoke for itself. ««««« Winemaker: Trevor and Marilyn Harch James Halliday Winery Rating

James Halliday Ratings Mackenzie William 1896 Eden Valley Riesling - Rating 94 30, 53 and 120yo vines were all employed, the latter some of the oldest riesling vines in the country. It’s a dry, crisp, textural wine with brine, florals, bath salt and citrus flavour combining to form a complex impression. There’s a slate-like character here too. In short it walks to the beat of its own drum. Zip Line Single Vineyard Eden Valley Shiraz - Rating 92 97% shiraz, 3% cabernet sauvignon. French oak, 10% new. Dressed up and all ready to go. Rich, ripe blackcurrant with choc-coffee and gum leaf notes. The proportions are generous, the tannin has a bit of strut to it, and it finishes warm and hearty. Portfolio 2019/20

Di Giorgio Family Wines Coonawarra SA The Di Giorgio family farm and vineyard established in 1956 covers a vast area and in 1989 the family set aside four hectares on their Lucindale farm for vines. After much consideration of microclimate, average sunlight hours, water supply and soil testing, the first two hectares of Pinot Noir and two hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon were planted. As a result of its initial success, the family gradually developed the vineyard to its 126 hectares with the final planting in 1998. The varieties planted now encompass Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. During the nineties, the fruit was purchased mainly by the large winemaking companies based on Coonawarra and the Limestone Coast. In 1998, the family decided it was time to produce their own bottled wines from the family’s vineyards and to market these wines throughout the world. Initially, the wines were produced at a nearby winery by a contract winemaker. Then in March 2002, through a stroke of fortune, the family became proud owners of the second oldest winery in the world famous Coonawarra district. Winemaker: Peter Douglas www.digiorgio.com.au UPC

James Halliday Ratings Shiraz - Rating 95 Our Shiraz was harvested in stages starting on 13th March. The blend comprises of several batches over a period of 4 weeks. The grapes were crushed gently, transferred to 10 tonne open top fermenters for 8-12 days, with the exception of a small portion of the fruit which was fermented whole bunch and spent longer on skins. Malolactic fermentation took place in oak – a mixture of old and a little new for 12 months No fining. Tempranillo - Rating 94 Includes 4% grenache, open-fermented, pumped over twice daily, 10-day ferment, pressed to used French hogsheads for 10 months maturation. Although the vines are young (7yo), this suggests the site has great potential. There is truly lovely cherry fruit on the fresh light to medium-bodied palate thanks in part to the controlled alcohol; the finish has gently savoury tannins that tie the parcel up ever so neatly.

Silk Shiraz - Rating 93 Its affability is undeniable. Sweet plum and red currant flavours come lifted with citrus and smoked cedar wood. It feels balanced throughout and maintains good, juicy flow without ever feeling heavy or overdone.

GSM - Rating 95 Fair to say that the value equation is well in the buyer’s favour. This is right in the GSM zone; medium-weight, well fruited, earthen and awash with well-integrated woodsy-spice notes. Balance has been judged just so, tannin is emery-board fine, length is assured.

Silent Noise McLaren Vale SA Charlie O’Brien grew up surrounded by vines at his parents multi-award wining vineyard and winery Kangarilla Road. One of his first words was ‘tractor’ and ever since he saw his first tractor on the property he was hooked and has loved every aspect of the winemaking process. It is no surprise that he is following in the footsteps of his parents, Kevin and Helen. Charlie’s first offering was a single vineyard shiraz that owes everything to the noises that made it, yet it sits silently in its bottle. It is only when you have the wine in your mouth that you can really appreciate the noise that will silently speak to you of terroir, history and love - hence the name ‘Silent Noise’. James Halliday Ratings White Label Rosé - Rating 94 A shiraz rose made from the ground up (half the estate block was picked 2 weeks earlier than the main shiraz harvest specifically for this wine). The edge of salmon is a fact, its cause debatable, especially in the context of 50/50% barrel/tank fermentation. Both the mouthfeel and flavour are yet another face of the glorious vintage.

Estate Shiraz - Rating 96 From estate vines planted in ‘96, hand-picked, foot-stomped to leave 50% whole bunches, wild-fermented, matured in French oak. An exceptionally intense wine with great length born of that intensity. Maybe the fruit taken for the Rose was selectively picked bunch by bunch, not row by row. French and American oak has joined with firm tannins to provide some of the texture and structure of this remarkable wine.

Estate Malbec shows the typicity of the flagship variety from Argentina. In the nose, it offers nice aromas of fresh red berries, which melt into delicate nuances of violets. In the mouth, it is soft, with silky tannins and a medium structure. It is a simple, straight-forward wine dominated by the fruit.

Finca el Origen Reserva Estate Malbec, our emblematic wine, originates in our vineyard located in Vista Flores, one of the most prestigious, high-altitude micro-terroirs (1 200 m/3 900 ft.a.s.l.) in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, at the foothills of the Andes mountain range. With delicate aromas of violets, mineral notes, deep purple colour and soft, rounded tannins, this wine is a true representative of the Argentine emblematic variety.

Gran Reserva, brilliant purple colour. The nose is dominated by red plums, morello cherries, figs, dried apricots with a delicate perfume of violets, and harmonized elegant notes of vanilla, chocolate and toast. This is a full-bodied wine of great structure and concentration. The excellent balance between acidity and round ripe tannins results in a wine with great personality and wonderful length.

Terres de Saint-Louis Provence France Encircled by the Côtes de Provence, the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation, ten times smaller than its big sister, has a very specific character, due to its terroir and very unique climate. The vines grow at between 200 and 500 metres altitude, where the winters are harsh and the summers extremely hot, with cooler nights. This alternation of temperatures allows the grapes to ripen slowly and gently, preserving all their aromas. The work in the vineyards has been AgriConfiance certified since 2007.
