Indeed, there are huge expectations placed on this vehicle, and there is also huge pent-up demand from prospective buyers wanting to avail themselves of the latest addition to the Mitsubishi range. Now those expectations are well-grounded. After all, this Japanese

manufacturer has carved out an enviable reputation for reliability and durability and functionality with vehicles such as the Pajero and Pajero Sport, as well as the outgoing Triton. engine to the latest version of Mitsubishi's famed Super Select II four-wheel drive system – all mated to tough sophistication. This potent new motor features an aluminium cylinder block to save weight and can be paired with Mitsubishi’s latest six-speed manual or, for those who prefer to let technology do the work of gear-changing, a fivespeed automatic gearbox. “Our new lightweight turbodiesel engine is fitted with Mitsubishi’s latest generation MIVEC technology and weighs 30kg less than its predecessor, resulting in improved responsiveness, fuel consumption, handling, cornering,
