When did the ancient civilitation of China began? The History Of China, as documented in ancient writings, dates back some 3,300 years. Modern archaeological studies provide evidence of still more ancient origins in a culture that flourished between 2500 and 2000 B.C.
THE SHANG DYNASTY They were lots of dynastys I am going to explain the sang dynasty. The Shang Dynasty or Yin Dynasty, according to traditional historiography, ruled in the Yellow River valley in the second millennium BC (Before Common Era).

The Shang ruled between 1766 BC and 1122 BC, but according to the chronology based upon the Bamboo Annals, they ruled between 1556 BC and 1046 BC.
FAMILY LIFE GIRLS Girls didn't have very nice lives, as wher ever they went they had to obey all males. They first had to obey their father, then their husband, and finally their eldest son.
Boys were considered as superior to girls and a boy was expected to marry as soon as he was of age.
Poor families, if they were desperate, had to sometimes sell their daughters to be servants or slaves to the rich.
ART AND PAINTING In Ancient Chinese art, animals were used to represent emotions, people, and actions. Horses were a symbol of speed and high rank and flying birds represented freedom.
THE FLAG The red of the Chinese flag symbolizes the communist revolution, and it's also the traditional color of the people. The large gold star represents communism, while the four smaller stars represent the social classes of the people.
IMPORTANT MONUMENTS THE CHINESE WALL The Great Wall of China is a wall that covers much of the northern border of China. The wall was built to help keep out northern invaders like the Mongols. There was start to built in the 7th century B.C.
THE TERRA COTTA WARRIORS The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Upon ascending the throne at the age of 13, Qin Shi Huang, later the first Emperor of all China, had began to work for his mausoleum. It took 11 years to finish.
