Avotus is a provider of Intelligent Communications Management and IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions with a focus on managing the Big Data aspects of TEM and Unified Communications (UC) analytics. We speak to James Martino who explains more. “Avotus primarily targets enterprise clients and distributor partners with over 100 employees and over $1 million in annual telecom and IT spend. More than half of Avotus’ deals are direct, though the company increasingly distributes through strategic partners and integrators. Avotus often targets government entities and North American-based large enterprises seeking to reconcile usage and spend data with IT investments. Avotus also sells to companies below $1 million in spend with its Enhanced Usage Reporting (EUR) offering in tandem with many PBX, VoIP, and UC platform integrations.”

“Avotus’ offering consists of Technology Expense Management, cloud and hosted Enhanced Usage Reporting (EUR), Wireless Management, and Intelli-sourcing. Avotus’ latest TEM offering is an IT Asset Management platform called ITAM Robot for collecting and managing data from telecom and IT assets, inventory, financial data, and contracts, to automate much of the process for capturing and integrating IT data into a single database.” Looking to the future, James explains what Avotus is doing to stay ahead of any emerging developments, and their plans for 2017.
“The UC Analytics and ITAM Robot really have transformed Avotus’ place in the community, moving us from expense and usage management and basic reporting to someone who is now providing managers with critical information in a format that can help them make better strategic decisions for their business and gain a competitive advantage. We’ve also recently announced a partnership between our UC Analytics platforms with a company called TrustSphere, which allows us to take the Big Data and usage management capabilities and apply them to the Big Data relationship analytics space. That allows us to feed information to a partner’s software that can map out relationships within an organization and even between an organization and its customers and partners. “So I think you’ll see us more and more focused on how to capture, organize, and report data in a way that helps our customers get a competitive advantage. The work we’ve done to transform a basic TEM business into an insightful Big Data and Analytics firm is most notable. It elevates our value to clients and our shareholders.”
