How does it feel to have been named Full-Service IPR-Firm of the Year and to what do you most owe this success? It is an honour to be named Full-Service IPR-Firm of the Year. We have been working hard for many years to improve and grow our business. We are now the only IP firm with offices in the three largest cities in Norway: Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim. This year we have also launched a new profile and website. Success is always a result of hard and strategic work. How important do you believe awards like this are? It is good to see that hard work and innovative thinking makes a difference. We always have the client in focus and aim to fulfil the client’s needs. It is important that our professionals and the rest of the industry can see that hard work is recognised . What areas have you focused on over the past year? We have focused on the clients, and very much on our Norwegian clients. Also, the clients’ needs and goals within their own business. This is what is important! Our job is to help the client to use IP as a tool to achieve their goals and visions. Tell us about the culture within Acapo. How does it influence your interactions with and results achieved for your clients? Our core values reflect our company culture. These values combined with our knowledge and experience help us to achieve our mission of creating increased opportunity and market leadership for our clients.

Our vision is to be the preferred global IP-consultancy for Norwegian companies, and the preferred Norwegian IP-consultancy for international companies. What sets Acapo apart from your competitors? It is hard to say. I think we all work hard. We have, over several years, had to work our way up. We never allow ourselves to be comfortable or satisfied. Everything can always be better! We focus on the clients’ needs, we try to understand their business and aim to give them the best service possible. What do you think about the future of your business ? The future will be characterised by a great deal of innovation and increasingly fast technological change. Securing the right to exploit one’s own innovation is therefore vital to the continued success of a company. Competition will become greater and closer, patents, designs and trademarks will play an increasingly important role. We hope and believe that our passion for IP will also motivate our clients to see clearly the value and importance of their intellectual assets, and thus give these assets the attention and priority they need, for them to be important tools and to achieve their goals and create success for their business.
