Dear Applicant MC UP is launching applications for OE CEEDer as National VP TM in Nicaragua.

This Position is open for the ones that want to create an impact in a growing entity as AIESEC Nicaragua.

Taking the challenge of work with MC UP 13-14 will give you the opportunity to grow professionally and to impact directly on the quality of the experiences that AIESEC Nicaragua offers.

We are looking for people with passion and commitment to be the entrepreneurs that can guide AIESEC Nicaragua to a next level of growth and development.

A BOUT N ICARAGUA Known as the land of lakes and volcanoes, Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America. The combination of history, culture, locals and hospitality and the amazing biodiversity makes Nicaragua a perfect place to stay.

FAST FACTS     

Official Name: Republic of Nicaragua Location: Central America, between the Caribbean Sea (East), the Pacific Ocean (West), Honduras (North) and Costa Rica (South). Area: 130,668 sq. km. (50,451 sq. mi.). Slightly larger than the state of New York, Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America. Climate: Tropical in the lowlands, cooler in the highlands. Rainy season from May to October, dry season from November to April. Getting Around: Getting around can be easy, enjoyable and safe throughout Nicaragua. According to statistics by Interpol and the United Nations, Nicaragua is one of the safest countries in the Americas, and the safest in Central America. Colonial cities such as León and Granada are more pedestrian- friendly than larger cities such as Managua. Taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive throughout the country. Language: Spanish is the official language and is spoken by the vast majority of Nicaraguans. English and indigenous languages are used along the Caribbean coast and in parts of the Atlantic coastal plain. Many Nicaraguans also speak some English. Currency: Córdoba (C). Exchange rate: Approximately Cs 25 per US dollar. Most establishments will accept payment in US dollars. Major credit cards are typically accepted in hotels, restaurants, and stores in both urban and tourist areas.. Taxes: The entry tax is US $10 payable in US dollars or Córdobas. Checks and credit cards are not accepted. Sales tax: 15% on all purchases. Things to do: Eco-tourism; adventure and sports activities, including surfing, deep-sea fishing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, diving, volcano sand-boarding; historical and agricultural sites; cultural activities; agritourism; volunteerism; nightlife

Our team has 5 months working together.  LC Managua: Operates since June 2012; structure: LCP, VPICX, VPOGX, VPER, VPTM; Main bottleneck: TM processes; Around 20 members; Best area: OGX;  SU León: Specialized Unit focus on OGCDP; operates since June 2013; structure: SUP, VPTM, VPOGX; Around 11 members; Main bottleneck: OGX promotion; Best area: they already organize 1 national summit and 1 national conference.  SU Keiser: Specialized unit focus on OGX; operates since July 2013; structure: SUP, VPTM, VPOGX; Around 10 members; Main bottleneck: vacation period of the university where they work; Best area: TM they won the award of best membership recruitment.  SU UCA: Specialized Unit focus on GCDP program both ICX and OGX: operates since September 2013; Around 10 members; Structure: VPOGX, VPTM, VPCOMM. Main bottleneck: currently they have no president and VPICX MC is managing directly the work with them; Best Area: OGX the VP is a returnee who knows how to promote internships in the university.  11 OGX realized. B ENEFITS

Housing: covered by MC Budget

Office: located in the Universidad Americana, with wi-fi internet and phone for local calls. No laptops provided.

Cost of MC operations: covered by MC budget after approval.

Scholarship: $120USD. This stipend is enough to cover monthly personal food and personal transportation. It will start to be paid after the first month of working. Nicaragua is considered one of the cheapest countries in the world, check this page to see the life cost: http://bit.ly/NicaCosts

General and Specific Questionnaire: in one PDF, maximum 12 pages, in Arial font size 10. Feel free to use your own design for the document. Blank page challenge, one extra page at the end of the questionnaire. Curriculum Vitae: 2 pages maximum, in PDF. 360 assessment: please do the CAT on MyAIESEC.net and ask to 5 people to be your contributors, once you get the answers, make a print screen of the results and paste it in on a word document and make it PDF. Three (3) Endorsement Letters: 1 from your current leader, 1 from a current teammate, 1 from a person you are leading (in case you are not having a leadership role now, the letters must be given by the people involved in your last role). For international applicants, one extra letter is requested from an MC member of his/her origin entity. Video: Make a video of maximum 5 minutes length, in which you need to introduce yourself and your AIESEC career, your motivations to apply for nicaraguan national committee, the strategies you are proposing to develop TM area. Upload the video on youtube.com and paste the link in the general questionnaire.

J OB D ESCRIPTION Role specification: At being Official Expansion CEEDer in the position of National VP TM you will work full time, basically you will be the functional MCVP TM, but for matters of legality the position and selection of the person is managing as it will be a CEEDer. General Information: 

In charge of: Talent Management processes, TMP and TLP, expansion.

 

Transition starts on: December 10, 2013. Term: from January to June 2014

 

Accountable to: Official Extension President (MCP) Work with: LCVPs TM and other membership, LCPs and MC members.

Description of the role: OE CEEDer as National VP TM is the final responsible for ensuring national growth and development by facilitating and management the consecution of high quality AIESEC Experiences, through the development of current LCs’ members, the consolidation of Specialized Units, and expansion strategy to expand our reach. Responsibilities: Functional:  

Coordination of TM processes development and management Analyzing LCs’ state; revising and tracking membership criteria

 

Developing and assuring proper knowledge management R&R creation and management

Expansion: 

Responsible for elaborating and executing the opening and managing expansion LCs from beginning

Responsible together the OEVP OGX for keeping and increasing the Specialized Units.

Organizational Development:  

Coaching strategy Entity Planning and Tracking

Quality of @XPs and NPS Implementation.

Leadership development

Ensure retention, pipeline and development of members through membership cycle management, conferences and other educational activities.
