Medellín is the capital of Colombia’s mountainous Antioquia province. Nicknamed the “City of Eternal Spring” for its temperate weather, it hosts a famous annual Flower Festival. Modern metrocables link the city to surrounding barrios and offer sweeping views of the Aburrá Valley below. Sculptures by Fernando Botero decorate downtown’s Botero Plaza, while the Museo de Antioquia displays more of the Colombian artist’s work.

The position of Medellín as the second industrial city in Colombia has been a main factor in overcoming its crisis of the 1980s and 1990s. The Medellín Metro, a massive urban transport service, became the pride of the city, and so far the only sign of the Medellín Master Plan of the 1950s. The construction of the Plaza Mayor of Medellín, an international center for congresses and expositions, was designed to showcase the globalized economy of Colombia to the world.

AIESEC

IN UPB

AIESEC in UPB is a committee with 20 years of trajectory; it began as AIESEC in Bolivariana in 1995 and in 2005 changes its name for AIESEC in EIA. It started to be ofďŹ cially recognized as a local committee in the national network in 2006 and each year has strengthened itself as one of the most relevant committees of AIESEC in Colombia by the quality of the experiences it delivers in the internships and in its membership. Finally, in 2015 the committee again changes its name to AIESEC in UPB because of the new host university.

Contribute to improve the reality of differents communities while working in one or several of MedellĂn's libraries parks doing activities about entrepreneurship, immersion in the culture of their country of origin, language classes, innovation or environmental care. These activities will be public, directed to mostly children but teenagers and adults may attend this activities as well.

This project seeks to strengthen and promote English language teaching and educating among different communities through an international environment, simulating cultural diversity among students.

Conditions of poverty and poor education in which many children grow up in the city are not adequate for their development, their family and social environment isn't ideal either. The project aims to help build the career plan of these children through art and culture.

This project aims to educate on the importance of environmental care and the responsibility for our daily actions that cause constant damage to the planet. We want Colombians to behave as owners of a country and a planet with limited resources.

This Project aims to improve the urban spaces that surround NGOs, generating more livable, social and safe environments, where they can meet again, recreate and even learn in groups.
